My hoses without these last for one year here in the southern Arizona desert. Since purchasing these socks the hoses last for almost two years with continual use year round. They basically almost double the hose life so worth the dollars.

I thought I was buying a sewer hose but it is just the hose cover (sleeve) that goes on your sewer hose. There are no orange hose connectors as appears in photo, it is a long black clothe sleeve. It is good quality, we kept it and put it on the hose. Easy to do and appears washable, hope it protects the sewer hose from heat and cold. Been through too many sewer hoses. We needed two so plan to order another. Just be aware this is a sewer hose cover, it looks nice and hopefully is functional.

Surely a less flimsy and more sturdy material might have been found to produced this product. For the perceived quality of the product, it's over-priced.

The best thing I can say about this sleeve is that it is well over 10 feet. The fabric and construction is very flimsy but may work fine over time. It's a sleeve to protect the flexible sewar drain hose from damaging UV sunlight over extended periods. Here in the desert southwest you definitely want/need something. $20 is a lot, though.
