It's suits my purpose well. I haven't traveled with it yet but I don't think that will be a problem. It keeps leaves and water out as advertised.

This is a nice boat cover. It's thick & made of a durable material. We have 2 boats that stay in our backyard when not being used. The latest 1 is covered & protected, but our Jon boat wasn't. It is directly under 2 trees as well. We had 2 hurricanes come through Tampa Bay this season & afterwards the leaves, limps & water in the boat was ridiculous. We have foam in the bottom of our flat bottom with a PVC plastic sheeting over that to created a higher boat bottom. The foam helps the boat sit higher in the water, but leaves can get stuck around the edges & ends up clogging the drain hole. We needed it covered to prevent all those issues. Our Jon boat is 12ft long & just over 3ft wide. This cover is made to fit up to 14' so it was a bit long for our boat, but I could hook the front over the trailer bar instead, pulling it tight When I opened it up the 1st time, it did stick to itself some. It's just that type of material. Once I had it all unfolded it was easy to maneuver it around the boat. For reference I opened it over the boat so I didn't have to transport a big cover from the ground up onto the boat. The front is labeled. The elastic around the entire outside is thick & helps keep the cover in place. Because our boat is only 3ft wide, it pulled down a good amount over the sides. The canvas straps are a good size, the clips don't feel cheap & they clip onto & off of each other easily. All the spots the straps loop through are reinforced with extra material. That is great. There is so much pressure on that area that it's usually the 1st to rip & tear. On this cover though, there is double stitching through basically 3 layers so it's able to take the pressure.I pulled a strap through each loop around the boat, then because our boat is smaller, instead of clipping under the boat, I clipped under the trailer. This let me pull the cover tighter. I also could easily adjust the straps after I connected them so that I could reach the clips for every strap to quickly & easily remove the cover without having to reach down under the boat or crawl under the trailer to unclip. On the front loop, I added a strap & tightened it around the front of the trailer base. If your boat is 14ft, you won't need to do this.My only issue with this cover is that I wish there were 2 more loops. If there were one more loop on each side, in between the 1st & 2nd loops going down the front, I could pull it much tighter. Right now, I think no matter how tight I make it, water is going to pool in that front area. I'm going to put something under the cover to hold the area up & avoid that.If you need a jon boat cover I think this is a well priced quality option. I expect it to hold up well & do a great job protecting our boat.

It fits a 1649 monark jon boat with 2 seats and a lightbar with a little room to spare. The straps/buckles are a pain and you can't pull it very tight
