This is my favorite child at the moment. I'm exactly handy enough to get myself into trouble, and while I CAN caulk (and do, if necessary), I've caught myself avoiding it because my weak self gets hand cramps from cranking the manual caulking gun. No more! I will say, start on 1. Seriously. Learn from my mistakes. Easy to maneuver and hold in place, doesn't seem to unduly drain the battery. Overall, very pleased that I can continue looking capable while secretly being lazy

I did! After using this tool, I thought I might keep my old hand pump caulking gun for backup. After the result and ease of this tool, it went into the metal recycling bin. Variable speed makes you look like a pro and there is even an onboard piercing tool. What a great tool!

I just used mine when replacing all my baseboards and trim, and installing board and batten. It is a time saver and no hand cramping from hours of caulking. Run some practice strips at different speeds each time the caulk is replaced to get a feel for the flow for that particular cartridge. I used a near lowest setting and a small hole in the cartridge for most of the finer work and it comes out smooth, continuous, straight, and with little clean up. Turn it up for faster application for adhesive use. I wish I had one of these years ago.

I bought this to use on a large project redoing seals on my motor home. Had several hundred feet of caulk to run from ladders. One of the great things is when you release the trigger, it backs off the plunger a little. This takes pressure off, and keeps it from dripping all over the place. You do have to get used to it taking a couple beats before caulk flows again. The only negative, and why I didn't give it 5 starts is even at the slowest setting, I wish it was a little slower.I am glad I had it for the project. Not sure how much it will get used from now on, but if I ever have to either run a lot of caulk, or do it in an awkward spot, I'll grab it.

Including a little background on this: A project using Construction adhesive. Having broken my wrist a year ago I found it took 2 hands and about all the strength I had to squeeze a bead out of the cartridge. Ender the RYOBI ~ Using the highest setting of #6 I have full control of the bead placement. Since my purchase I have run through 19 cartridges of Pro-Construction adhesive without an issue. I was concerned with the slow flow of the construction adhesive at the highest setting. However, I put in a cartridge of the cheapest caulk on the market and "By-Golly" on the highest setting I hit the trigger, and it was nearly a squirt gun. I lowered it to the lowest setting and found I had a highly controllable consistent bead. This is a boat project, and next step is to re-install 18 portlights sealing both inner and outer -- then moving to sealing a bead at the toe-rail which will equal 240 linear feet. My hand and wrist strength would never have been able to handle this. For me, this purchase would have been worth it at triple the price.

I started plunging several cracks in my concrete basement floor. I was done killing my fingers squeezing the trigger on a standard 10 oz product spreader. After using 3 cartridges I released there has to be an a easier way of applying it. Thanks to this new Ryobi gun 🔫 I had 12 cartridges used in 4 hours.I'm done. Paid itself after using it with the first cartridges. 😊

I do a lot of DIY at home, and find that using some types of construction adhesive and even some types of calking in the average manual caulking gun requires almost weightlifter strength to pull the trigger. This unit solves that problem. Plenty of power for tough jobs, saves the fingers and hands and, once you get the hang of it, much easier to achieve a nice constant bead. Well worth it.

I bought this gem to do all the caulking on some new siding I was DIYing. The caulk I used was really hard to squeeze out of my old faithful hand squeeze gun. This Ryobi did the job much faster and easier than I expected. Great choice, especially if you already have Ryobi batteries. I’d definitely recommend for those big caulking jobs that you need to knock off the honey do list.
