Literally broke within less than a month.. super disappointing and couldn’t be returned. Get from somewhere other than Amazon.

Very light weight! It is easy to use, being cordless is a plus! My old one was an electric and I had to drag the cord around which was a pain! It works well and I bought a leaf blower that will use the same battery, so I have one battery charging at all times when I am using the weed eater or leaf blower!

We are biased. We love all our Ryobi tools. We were worried whether this tool could manage both the abundance and heft of our wild mountain weeds. We can now testify that it did a great job. It is lightweight enough to work w/o distress to shoulders and arms. The battery lasted quite well though we had a 2nd one charged and ready.

Im pleasantly suprised by the build quality of this Ryobi weed eater. Very easy to put together, about 4 minutes. Overall this weed eater has enough power for general lawn use, and it's lightweight so it'll put less strain on your back as well.However, the downfall of this item is that it let's more string out everytime you pull on the handle. There is no go around in it. You pull om the handle to start and it'll spit more string out. So I guess I'll practice keeping the weed eater running the entire duration until I need more string.

I use this to cut the grass on my small lawns and trim the edges 7 such. For this it works absolutely wonderfully. On the other side of my back fence is a forest and keeping the tall grass & blackberries at bay takes a bit more time as this is a single string unit that uses slightly lighter string than the big gas powered ones; that said, I have found that if I take a little more time cutting the jungle, it does an excellent job there as well.The batteries (standard size) last a decent amount of time - adequate to finish my two small lawns (10'x15' & 15'x20') and the trimming around them on two batteries. Dealing with the jungle takes a full battery+.Changing the string cartridges is very easy, and when the string gets stuck from heat and won't advance (a very common occurance on all string trimmers), it's very easy to get it un-stuck.

I bought this to trim some tall grasses in the lot next to my house. I already had batteries and charger so this trimmer was a good deal for me. It required some simple assembly. I thought it was missing a bolt but found it in bottom of the box.It does the job just fine on these grasses. It is light and very easy to handle. I had no need of the edging function so this wasn't tested.

I prefer buying you products that I can use the batteries interchangeably. I purchased this weed watcher for my personal yard. I think it would be a good machine for upkeep, but for the first go around to do some initial cleanup, the cord is not strong enough to cut a little thicker shrubs. My 13 yr old son can work this tool, it is lightweight and not too long for him. I just wish it had a little more power or ability to cut slightly thicker shrubs.
