These are well made S hooks. There are not any rough edges on them, its just nice smooth stainless steel. They measure just as stated in the description.

I inspected each of these Tri Surge S hooks looking for flaws and found none, they are all impeccably formed. Testing with a magnet evidenced negligible magnetism as would be expected with 316 stainless steel. Note 304 (18-8) stainless steel, which you typically find at the local hardware store, is marine grade but it will sometimes become tarnished or "tea stained" in a saltwater environment. 316 stainless steel generally won't stain and looks good as new season after season with noting more than periodic light cleaning.Measuring with calipers I found thickness 1/8", hook length 1 3/8", inside hook dimension 7/16" and 3/16" gap between hook end and adjacent hook body (see picture relative to a quarter). The gap can be opened or closed with pliers of course. I sometimes find it easier to bend the hook end out of plane, rather than away from the hook body, and then back to insert something that doesn't clear the existing gap.All indications are these S hooks will serve well on my saltwater sailboat above and below deck for a variety of applications.

This is a simple product but the S-hooks I had holding up a welcome sign in front of my home had rusted so was looking for stainless steel replacements. These marine-grade S-hooks should last a lifetime. They were nicely finished and looked good when viewed from the street. With extras included in the bag of hooks, I've got rust-proof S-hooks for additional projects.

I have a wind chime that had S hooks that were not stainless steel that had rusted through. I just replaced them with these and it is back and singing in the wind! I love this wind chime and it is tuned so was not cheap if I would have had to replace it! Great solution. Thank you Amazon for having this available!
