This is a good bracket to have on your bike. Easy install. All you need is the torkwrench and an angle grinder. Install in less than 30 minutes. Like the saying goes better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

This saddlebag guard crash bar is a solid addition for Harley Davidson Touring models from 1997 to 2008. Constructed from heavy-gauge tubular steel, it offers reliable durability and rust resistance, making it ideal for long-term outdoor use across various terrains. It provides dependable protection for saddlebags during low-speed tip-overs while also offering some leg protection for the rider.Installation is straightforward with a secure attachment mechanism, though following the included tips—such as connecting pieces before tightening bolts—can simplify the process further. While the sleek design adds a modern touch to the bike’s aesthetic, it may slightly reduce passenger foot room, though this might not be an issue for riders who rarely carry passengers.Overall, this saddlebag guard combines practicality and style, delivering reliable protection and enhancing the bike’s appearance. It's a solid option for riders seeking added safety without compromising their motorcycle's look. :)

Not your Dad's saddlebag protectors. I was in a wreck that shattered my saddlebag (and leg). Had I a product like this, I would have not been as hurt as I was and my saddlebag wouldn't have exploded either. When I got my bike back I started looking for crash bars to protect myself should this happen again. I hated the look of all the old man looking things that where available. I came across these and just thought they would be perfect.I was right! they look great and give me piece of mind, not only in a wreck but if I drop my bike (again). They come with 3 different colors of washers that you can accent them with, Red, Blue, or Gold. Or use all three washers if you want.I paired these with front crash bars also since they didn't look right with the engine guard that came with the bike itself. HIGHLY recommend this product.

If you dont like cutting things then maybe check into harley’s parts. They sell a rear half it adds to the cost. Mine had the bars on the rear saddle bags so they already had two pieces. A little difficult to wrangle them on alone a little spray lube helped but the rear Nut for the T45 behind was a bit tough to get lined up at the same time as the one under the seat

The design of this crashguard was well thought out. It looks nice and is an extremely easy install. It comes out enough that it would prevent saddlebag damage even when it's just a partial tip over. Strong and durable. Fits nicely.
