In 2020 we bought 2 -1 gallon containers. Yes, it lasted that long. We loved everything about it - the lather, the way it didn't dry out our hands and the scent. So, we were anticipating the same kind of satisfaction with the newest purchase. I regret to say that something is different and the scent stays on your hands long after washing. Which is fine I guess, unless you're going to be preparing food. I found that even when using a very small amount the scent remained on my hands. I couldn't get it off even with repeated washing and the last thing you want when making meals is to have the food smell like antibacterial soap. It was so strong that I had to put on nitrile gloves. It still lathers nicely and doesn't dry out your skin. But since I prepare all meals, I will no longer be using it because of that. My spouse uses it and still likes it, but then, he doesn't cook.

I ordered the Safeguard liquid hand soap and the dispensers for the restrooms at our business.The dispensers were accidentally left at the loading dock, but Amazon gleefully corrected that, and the liquid soap was here the day after I purchased it.This is the kind of soap where you noticed people smelling their hands while exiting the restroom.Now people who visit our shop will see that we only use the best of the best everything!

I never heard of this soap until I ordered it here on Amazon. I guess it was popular in the 70's. I like antibacterial soap and was happy with the great lather it produced. The smell is also nice. It is pleasant, but not perfume-like. My husband hated strong smells, and he did not complain about the smell. The price was good when I bought it, but it looks like it tripled in the past month. If it goes back down, I will purchase again.

This soap is wonderful!!! It smells better than the Safeguard soap bars and much better than the new Safeguard sold in stores. Lathers up really well and you don’t need a lot of it to wash your hands with!!!
