This little tool is very helpful. I don’t have issues with my hands, but I do find it difficult to get those little eyes on without slipping and this is a big help. I think it is a must have for anyone with weakness in their hands.

This tool makes putting safety eyes on a lot easier on my hands. It includes a piece to adjust to smaller and larger sizes of eyes that attaches in the handle. This has been a handy tool!

SAVES my fingers! I have two other safety eye fasteners, and this one is my favorite. I wondered if the shorter handles would help or hurt the process, and they definitely help. The longer handled too that I have cannot obtain the force needed to attach larger safety eyes, and I can feel the long handles sort of 'give' out. My other tool is the wooden ball on a sort of pipe, that you steady the item on the table and push down on it with the wood tool. It works fine, but I need three different sizes, and I never seem to leave them in the same place. This Safety eye tool sits right there with my yarn holder, and is always ready for me. In terms of fastening eyes, it works perfectly, without much hand strength needed at all. Definitely saves my hands.

This makes putting on safety eyes so much easier. It is a little bulky so it may not be able to fit in very tight places. The clamp is lightweight. There is a removable pink attachment for smaller safety eyes. There is also a spot to hold the pink attachment when it's not being used. One side of the clamp is curved so it doesn't damage the eyes. The other side has a hole for the end to go through. It's designed to fit 5 mm to 30 mm eyes.

This safety eye tool is going to save my hands from a crummy box of safety eyes that I bought! The locking backs are too small but this squeeze tool makes them a dream to use now. The instructions are clear and the tool is very easy to use. It's also easy to slip into the head you are working on rather than fussing around with your hands.

4 1/2 stars. Works great, easy to use. Came with directions, which is unusual. Has an adapter for smaller size eyes. The only issue is that there is a divot on the side where the eye goes. It is slick hard plastic. When you're trying to push the pieces together, the eye slides against this surface and sometimes slips. Would be nice if this little area had some sort of grippy surface.

I honestly didn't realize that there was a special tool for applying safety eyes before I saw this listing. After using it on a project, I can say that it's definitely more convenient than trying to cram your fingers into your project to secure the safety eyes. The tool feels a little cheap, but not like it's going to break or anything like that. The spring does make me a little nervous, as it seems like it could get bent out of shape very easily; I guess we'll have to wait and see. Overall, I'd say this is a must-buy if you do a lot of amigurumi projects, since it's not exactly expensive.

YES! My fingers hurt so much trying to put safety eyes on my crochet projects, that I stopped making stuffed animals. But now! Now I am a safety eye master. No more finger pain, just push and go!The spring in the middle feels a bit wonky, like i worry it might give out over time as it seems loose. But for now it is holding up. And honestly im just grateful I dont have to hand push safety eyes anymore!
