I had not used a tile leveling system before, and I am not a professional but have done a few tile jobs in the past. It did a nice job, within reason of course. If yoiu put significantly more mortar under one tile than another there is little it can do except maybe pull one up and actually leave a gap under it. The preferred effect is to seat the tile in the mortar enough for good bonding, but not enough to smash all the gaps down that the grooved trowel leaves (tiles should be back buttered to get a really good bond). Then the high tile can settle down a little under pressure from the leveler wedges. Another thing to keep in mind is that the larger the tile the more important it is to have a perfectly level prep underneath, as you can only make up so much. We were using 12x12 and 6x12 tiles on the two jobs I did with these.I was satisfied that the tabs, wedges and pliars did what they were designed to do without problems.

I’m a carpenter and that does some tile work. Honestly it was pretty simple and very consistent. The only complaint I have is the tile pliers broke at the back during my install. But I was able to finish my entry way with no problem. It’s just plastic and what does one expect.

This product worked great for leveling the tile. It was easy to use and worth the money. I was tempted to use cheaper means since the project costs were getting up there, but I'm glad I didn't cut any corners.
