Wasn't sure what to expect but this is a really nice looking post. Initially I thought I'd need to mount it to a 4x4 in the ground but nope...just prep a hole with some drainage rock and pour some Quickcrete around it and you're all done. Love this mailbox post. It's been in the ground 6 months and so far, not a single issue.

Post and box are both solidly built and powder coating is flawless...looks like they'll last many years. The most difficult part of installation is digging the hole and mixing the Quikcrete. Everything else goes together without a hitch. Instructions were straightforward and simple to follow with one exception: nylon spacers were packaged with the 2" bolts used to attach the angle brackets to the post. The instructions did not mention these spacers. I placed these between the angle bracket and the bolt head. (Perhaps these are not needed at all.) Total cost of post and box was a bit more than I had planned on, but this combo is much better looking and heftier than anything I saw in a store. Go for it!

This is a SIDE facing post for the mailbox. I wish I would have seen this before we had it in cement. My fault, as it clearly says this on the ad. With that said, I wish the company had an adapter kit for mistakes like this. My husband did mount it forward facing, but there was some difficulty since it wasn't meant to be facing that way. 5 stars for construction and appearance. Beautiful post.

I let my picture do justice. You’ve heard the old saying that you get what you pay for. It is true for this product. Pay a little more for this and quality is what you will get. It stands out and looks great.

Looks great. Quality product. Just a note to all looking at this, the mailbox mounts perpendicular on the side arm post, not parallel.

Rather expensive, but looks great. Very solid. Coupled with their matching mailbox, this creates an understated Elegance. Be aware that this post is made to be installed with the horizontal part parallel to the road or sidewalk. The Salasbury mailbox then sits across the horizontal part.

Purchased this post along with the mailbox so that everything matched. Solid product but was a Lil difficult to figure out directions (which way the arm of the post faced to mount mailbox correctly) so had to go to the manufacturer's website and found a picture which helped. Why the mailbox mounts sideways instead of horizontally with the post arm, I don't understand (should have both options). Also screws were difficult to screw into the mounting hole on the post but after all was assembled, the product is high quality and would buy it again. The post and mailbox were a Lil expensive together but certainly high quality products and it appears that they will l Ast much longer than less expensive products which were very cheaply made
