There are several things I like about this salt and pepper shaker set. I think it is attractive. I like the 4 settings of the rotating dial. As compared to regular salt and pepper shakers, these shakers allow you to choose between 2 different hole sizes to shake out an amount of product. They also allow you to completely close the holes, to keep moisture out. They also allow you to pour a large quantity of product, which is great when you want to measure out teaspoon size amounts for cooking. However, there are problems with leaking of product into the shakers. The shakers consist of a tall glass container, a metal sheath that goes on top of the glass container with a bigger in diameter opening at top, then a lid that fits on top of the glass container and metal sheath. The lid consists of 2 parts. The bottom part stays stationary and contains the 3 sets of openings. The top part slides on top of the bottom part with one opening. When I used the shaker with salt then moved the top part to choose another setting, I could hear the gritty sound of salt between the 2 parts of the lid. I later used salt shaker to measure out 1/2 teaspoon of salt for a recipe, and heard the gritty sound again. I decided to take the lid off to check things out. A large amount of salt had leaked in the unit, evidently between the glass container and the metal sheath, and came spilling out upon opening the unit. I decided to try the same thing with the pepper shaker, using the shaker, then measuring out 1/2 teaspoon. While there is no gritty sound with pepper, there was still leaking of pepper between the glass container and metal sheath that came spilling out upon opening the unit.

This is a great set of salt and pepper shakers. The tops twist off easily and the fill hole in the base is a larger size than most. The salt and pepper shakers are a good size with vibrant color. They fit nicely in your hand and offer three sets of holes for the amount you want dispersed. They come well packed in a display box and would make a great gift. Highly recommended.

These are the salt and pepper shakers my family has always needed. There are two issues we've had through the years with shakers:1) I like a normal amount of pepper. My husband likes a mountain of pepper on anything he eats. We've never had a traditional pepper shaker, for this reason. We've always just kept the container the pepper comes in from the grocery store - I use the side with the holes, he uses the side with the pour. It's been that way for 20 years. When people come over, they are always confused - "where is the pepper? You guys use the thing from the grocery store for your pepper?" Yeah. It's annoying. Along comes this set, an aesthetically pleasing, coordinated, actual pepper shaker with an adjustable pour. Our guests are confused no more and our dining table looks nice.and 2) I break every single salt and pepper shaker I've tried to bring into this house. Glass is not a friend of mine, apparently. This set, though, while it does have glass, it's a heavier glass AND it comes with an attractive metal sheath (for lack of a better term) that will protect itself from me and my clumsiness.Yep, this is the salt and pepper shaker you want. Look no further. You found your shaker Zen.Highly recommend.

These salt and pepper shakers were an excellent find! The cover adjusts to four different flows -- completely closed, pouring, three larger holes, and smaller holes -- all with a simple, smooth twist of the top. The container itself is glass and the cover is a high quality plastic. Each shaker holds a good amount of salt/pepper, eliminating the need for frequent refills. I selected the silver color and it looks very nice sitting on counter next to my cooktop. They are an excellent value at the price listed!

really nice looking salt and pepper set. i like that there are 3 options for using, small and large holes come in handy especially if you use coarse ground pepper or salt. and the pour option is great when adding large amounts to recipes...and the color is gorgeous!

I love these salt&pepper shakers! They are so much more though. The top painted stainless steel looks great and functions better than any I've seen. You have 4 openings; one that is wide open to pour, shake in small, shake in larger amounts and close completely. Now I can use one source to dispense salt or pepper by simply turning the top of the lid. The container for product is glass. Great product!!! You even get instructions. Love these.
