It’s pretty. Has a large capacity and nice page protector and dividing sections.

I don't have to write anything.I can just print the recipes I use most often and slip them into the plastic sheet protectors.I always get food on my recipes and it irritates me. But the plastic sheet protectors keep the food off the pages. No more grease stains. My kids want me to write my recipes for them. I'd like to oblige but find that I just don't have the time or motivation to hand write them. This book has made it much easier for me to collect them in once place for myself and my children. And I make hand written notes on the pages about changes I make to the recipe. That's good enough.

I have used a 3-ring binder for recipes for years. In my own method I bought a notebook and placed a cover page created on the computer in the clear cover page; I bought dividers and plastic sleeves. Done. This product makes all the steps easy and convenient. The advantage over my previous system is that the pretty cover design appears all over the notebook. One negative is that the divider tabs were very difficult to separate. I had to use a knife to open the small window so that I could insert the tab. Maybe it's no big deal, but a better tab product is available. I don't know how many people actually still print out recipes (rather than pinning them on a computer site), but if you still do give this system a try.

I'm a bit conflicted on this, but I'm giving it five stars because I really do like it and it works with my recipe system.I cook all the time and have literally hundreds, possibly thousands, of recipes. I've had many recipe books/binders/boxes, and they generally fall into one of a few categories - binders where you add pages, binders where you write on provided/special pages, binders with pages that hold recipe cards, or boxes that hold recipe cards. I have, in addition to this binder, two 3-rings full of recipes that I organized with dividers I purchased. That's just how my brain works best, and this recipe binder fits with my system.Now...all that said...this is a binder, some sheet protectors, and tabbed dividers. You can buy all those components yourself for about 8 bucks...minus the graphics and artwork this binder has. If you want a pretty, giftable set, then this is probably for you. I like it and think everything is really pretty. However...I'm not positive I'd pay full price for this, since I can just assemble a (less pretty) binder on my own for about a third of the cost.

At the time of writing this review, this Samsill Recipe Binder Full Page 8.5 x 11 Kit is marketed for $23.12. That is a steep price for a binder, 8 tabbed dividers, and 30 protective sleeves. At this price, I would have at least expected the tabbed dividers to have included the to be inserted sheets in a card stock paper. Instead, I had to go to their website to download the pdf file with the printables. The process was easy and once printed, all printables fit in the provided sleeves. There are multiple size formats for your recipes. I decided to only print out the dividers, the tabs, and 1 page of the full-sized recipe sheets to see what it looks like. I will probably just print out online recipes to put in the sleeves, but it's nice to have the designed paper to either print and write your recipes on or to type in the recipe by modifying the pdf. To get the little printed paper tabs in their spot, I used a pencil to pry and keep the tabs open. I think the end result looks nice, but they either need to lower their price or include a set of printables with the product to make this kit of value because otherwise, you can just easily buy any folder and protective sheets and make your own recipe binder.
