I've had an old pair of these Samsons I used constantly for many years. They are beat to hell. I put an EV8 on one and a Bose S1 Pro on the other. So I was very happy to get updated new hardware. The 'latch' tightening mechanism is a big improvement over the old screw handles. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the head is too fat. I can't get the pole back out of the speaker without a lot of twisting and pulling. I was ready to just go back to using my old beat up stands instead of fighting with these things at the end of every gig. Then I found the solution. All I needed was a Philips head screw driver. I was able to switch the extending pole and head from the old stand to the new ones. At one point I thought I might have trashed one of my new stands, but then it all worked out perfectly. Now I have two great new speaker stands with properly fitting mounting heads. I'm set for at least a few years now. Very happy. NOW they are 5-star stands!

Selling point for me was the locking mechanisms rather than twisty 8mm bolt that always threads and is always the reason I end up chucking speaker stands or mic stands away. They are fairly lightweight, copes with Mackie SRM450s OK, a little wobbly. I wouldn't risk it on 3rd hole. Time will tell on how long the locking mechanism lasts!

Bought these for our Bose speaker and it definitely worked perfectly for it. Very sturdy and well made. Only downside is I only found them in sets of two which worked for us because I gave one to my mother in law who has the exact same speakers but that might be a consideration for others who only need one stand.

I bought these stand to loft up some smaller passive speakers I bought for my Simmons DA200S edrum amp, and they do the job nicely. They're light but stable when set up. Your height options are limited by the holes in the upper section of the stand, through which a pin is inserted, but there's enough choices to meet most needs.

Pretty good poles! Sturdy and nice looking. Haven't had them long, however, I can tell these are quality mechanisms.

Work well. Well built, sturdy and up to the task of holding speakers. Good value. Should include a storage bag though.

Smaller than I thought, but that is a good thing. The height works fine, but the closed size is much smaller than the standard speaker stands. Which works great when using small speakers and trying to keep everything in a small space. I use these with my Kustom PA50 speakers, which are only dual 5" speakers and a 1" tweeter. The stands being this size and the speakers being small also just makes the whole package more congruent. You don't have a 18" speaker on top of stands that hold 29" speakers and have a huge base and such. Only thing you need to make sure of is that the handle clamps that secure the legs and post are tightened. Mine were loose and would not hold the pole up. A simple Philips head screwdriver and in less than 30 seconds the stands were completely solid and ready for duty.

Bought these to put some smaller JBL eon 210s on ..they're perfect for that's size speaker, and they are reasonably sturdy and appear fairly well built. The lock pin for the stand height works well and must be used as the clamps alone will not handle the load from a mounted speaker. I think they say these are rated for 50lb, but I think that's pushing your luck, especially if you've got them at or near full height. The best thing is that they are light and have a small footprint compared to most of the competition, but that also means you should be careful about the top heavy aspect. For the money and my use, couldn't be happier.

These are great stands for lighter loads. Fold up small and don't weigh much. I'm using them for a pair of Alto TS110a active speakers which weigh about 27 pounds each. I wasn't sure about the clamps at first but I actually think they may work out better than the normal screw-type which always seems to strip.
