Works very well. No more desk noises or boom arm noises. Worth every penny. Even comes with extra bands.

If you adjust the rubber bands to be spaced tighter by using the narrower channels, it will hold mics with a smaller width like shotgun mics. Mine specifically was the cheap audio technica shotgun mic.

I used this for the Tonor TC-777, which wasn't mountable to a boom arm and was only able to be used on the desk. Trying to find solutions, I searched and found this stand. Luckily, I was correct when I predicted that the mic was similar in size to the Samson Q2U, so it fit snuggly. As far as I know, this stand is a great option if you have any handheld microphones that you want to mount, especially anything similar to the Q2U size- and shape-wise.

The best solution I found for holding the Samson Q2U. I looked at various shock mounts and other solutions for holding my microphone, but this one looked like the best fit. The build quality is a nice plastic, and the rubber bands hold the microphone in place. The shock mount does it’s job by eliminating noise from bumps which is what I was looking for. The mount works perfectly with my microphone arm and overall I’m satisfied with the shock mount.

Was previously using an oversized shockmount I had found cheap locally. This one is lighter, cleans up the look of my desk, and is perfectly sized for Q2 mic. FEELS a little cheaply made due to the light weight of the plastic, but so far holds up solid. Pleased it comes with replacement elastic bands.

This does exactly that. It holds the mic gracefully, it sits in the middle of all the rubber bands. The only concern is that the bands will lose elasticity over time. What is nice is they send you a spare set in the event of elasticity loss and breakage.I use this on a low-profile arm and it's wonderful.Because of the angle, I have my mic, sometimes it will slide into the bands and since the mic has a switch it may toggle the switch from on to off, which can cause confusion but rarely does it happen.Value for money is good and it has enhanced my friend's ears for not having to hear handling noise when I move my mic arm.

This is a simple but very effective shock mount for the Q2U by Samson. It will fit other similar microphones too. I like it’s simplicity, makes it easy to use. The red bands look cool too!

This is the perfect shock mount for the Q2U - of course it is, it's made for it. Fits like a glove with good shock absorbing capabilities. Looks/feels like it will last a long time. Comes with extra set of rubber bands.

Was it easy to install on a microphone arm stand or on a weighted microphone stand? Yes. You screw it on your arm stand or microphone stand without any effort. Was it difficult to insert a Samson Q2U in the shockmount? No. It was surprisingly easy. You gently slide it in through its red suspension bands. The suspension bands are tight but are not tight enough where you have to put effort in pulling it wider.Does the suspension bands hold onto the Samson Q2U fairly well? The red suspension bands hold onto it fairly well as it is tight around it. You can't really pull it out by accident either since you need some effort to do so.Does it work as a shockmount? Yes! I have been testing its capabilities of whether it will pick up an unwanted, thunderous thump or even the repeated bops from druming around it, and it works as advertised. Here are my final thoughts. In addition to the shockmount, I also received a bag of four spare suspension bands in the tiny boxed package. I cannot attest on its build quality yet, as I have received it a day ago. The shockmount itself looks pretty solid as an initial first impression. The screw that holds the shockmount to its base looks sturdy enough to me. We will see from further use and abuse.
