Got these as a backup pair to my Hayabusa T3’s. For the same price, I ended up returning these for a second pair of Hayabusa. The thumbs are too tight and cause cramping on the nail when wearing for extended periods of time. The padding on these doesn’t compare to the gel in the T3’s; the sanabul padding feels more like layered cardboard; dense and unforgiving. Lastly, the wrist support doesn’t come close to the T3’s. If you wrap your hands more on your wrist than knuckles or have bigger wrists in general, it might not be noticeable but after being used to the T3’s and knowing they’re the same price, this was a massive disappointment for me.TLDR; get the Hayabusa gloves.

It’s a great pair of gloves and feels and looks really nice only thing is that if they’re charging a premium they should include premium. Why make it fake leather while charging this much. But it does feel nice nonetheless and is overall it’s professionally made. It would be perfect at its price range if it was just a little cheaper but otherwise I love it.

The material these gloves are made from moves, shapes, and cushions your hand. One of the reviews I read prior to ordering these gloves complained that for the cost of these gloves, they should be real leather. I do not happen to agree in this case. The material is as soft and buttery as any of the finest leather. And it is much softer than most leather. An added benefit: I do not have to periodically condition the leather. These gloves will stay soft without my interference.Yet, I was hesitant to pronounce them fabulous gloves because I had nothing to compare them to. My boxing experience is limited. I like punching the bag because it relieves stress, gets me moving, gives me some cardio exercise that feels more like fun than exercise, and it helps with upper body strength training. When some less expensive Fila gloves came up on the list for the Vine program, I ordered them because I wanted a comparison and so that guests would have their own gloves. Wow! What a difference. If I had put the Fila gloves on first, I would have started and stopped with them. I do not mean that I would never have used anyone else’s gloves because they were great. I mean they were so hard, inflexible, and uncomfortable that I would never have taken up boxing to begin with. That would have been the end of it. My wrists hurt for hours after wearing the Fila gloves. To me, that proved in this case, “you get what you pay for.” To me, the extra expense of the Sanabul gloves is worth it. They make the difference in loving the sport and hating it.I love wearing these gloves. They are comfortable. I feel so secure in them that I do not hesitate when I throw a punch. For someone that broke several fingers playing volleyball in school and knows how painful a broken joint is, that is saying a lot!If you want to box, these are the gloves to buy! They are fabulous!

Sanabul has been around for a few years making boxing gloves and they also make MMA gloves. Sanabul's $29 Essential Gel boxing gloves are great--protective, affordable, durable, perfect for beginners. Their $49 Battle Forged Muay Thai gloves, a step up in price and quality, are made of synthetic leather. This is a fairly expensive set of gloves. They have striking good looks, coming in white and gold or black and gold. Knuckle padding is good They're made of synthetic leather like the Battle Forged gloves. Padding is solid all around and wrist support is decent. The stitching is quality. Thumb is comfortably sized and glove is well balanced. Inside neoprene padding over fingers keeps stitching from irritating fingers. Good feedback from gloves: you can feel the compression of shocks. For what you get, this is a somewhat expensive glove. It's still a good glove, yet synthetic leather is a step below most $150-range gloves which will typically have real leather. In fact, except for padding differences for boxing vs. Thai, these are very similar to the $50 Battle Forged Sanabul gloves.
