I have a steel apartment door, and this didnt work for me. I think its designed for wood doors where you drill a 1/2 diameter hole then put this inside. Im gonna have to find something else.

Uninstalled a peephole cam and needed to replace the viewer. Got this because 1) it has a 1/2 in bore hole and 2) it had the little privacy cover on the inside. Installed it with no issue (it's not rocket science) and the first time I used the privacy cover it bent and then broke off. The viewer itself is so distorted on the inside you can hardly see through it. It looks like maybe the lens is either broken or just a very poor quality. I will have to replace it.
