Filed each back with about eight pounds of sand and used them to keep the top on the beehives during wind gusty east coast storms. Worked as designed and matches the bees.

Did an event on a hilltop with a portable transciever radio box. I had a 13’ tripod mast with an antenna on top. In a moderate breeze it fell over. Got these, filled ziplock bags with sand, and brought to my next field day. Moderate winds didn’t budge the 13’ mast. Placement is key, I experimented a bit. Found if each side of the bags straddled the legs at the end, I could D-ring clip it to the cross support so it didn’t move. For something that tall, being further out on the legs and clipped in place is the ideal placement. Warning pattern was good for marking legs as well.

good low cost sand bags for my tripods... I'm using 5lb flat barbell weights instead of messy sand that spills everywhereyellow for visibiltyi recommend

Three bags for the price of one compared to other brands out there. I have read reviews that the zippers break after several uses but if you are opening and closing a sandbag that many times you should think of an alternative means of weighing down your gear. I loaded mine up with fine gravel from the playground. I put the gravel in zip lock baggies, duct taped them up good and placed in sandbag. No need to open and close to empty or fill sand. Once and done.

Not well made. Tears easy. I put the sand in ziplock bags and placed inside the sand bag because two bags already got small tears in them from light stands. Not very durable.

I use this for my large photography setup and it was a nice purchase.

Great addition to our photography equipment. Nice and heavy (when filled with sand) and adds stability to one of our light stands.
