I needed a top for a hanging light to attach to a hook on a light. I used this on the light and not on the ceiling as prescribed. But it fit the top of the light and held the hook that attaches to the chain. It wassome reverse engineering but it worked well and held the light up.

The set screw you use to hold the wire in the threaded nipple is plastic and about 3mm long. It bears the weight of the fixture so that’s not a smart place to cut quality.
