Bottom of shoes are narrower than the rest of the shoe - uncomfortable and UNSTABLE - like walking in ice skates. They looked cute.

These shoes are very wide and for a dance shoe, they look terrible on your foot. My foot is narrow and my foot looked like a big block in this shoe. The fabric is very thick and bulky adding to the non-flattering look. With the exception of the arch, they don't look like a dance shoe. These are going back. Yuck!

ces chaussures de danse sont très justes et les semelles assez fines.J'espère qu'avec le temps mon pied sera plus à l'aise.

Very nice fit and design for practice dance classes. Exceptional shoe for price! Heel is low, not as high as dance dress shoes. I love the large toe section which is very comfortable - wearing them for over 6 months, now. For men, the shoe runs on the long side. So, next time I will order down a size. In any case, they fit snugly on my heel, even if too long. Not a split sole section. See my photo of the shoe sole. Overall a winner, and I will purchase another pair. My Argentine Tango dance instructor has been using the the same shoe for years. Made for either men or women, but it seems the reviews for women, they have to order up in size, vice down for men - at least for me. See my photo pointing where my toe is located.

I bought these shoes to be able to exercise at home (carpet floors). I have tried all my tennis shoes, even socks or barefoot and I hated exercising at home because of the friction with the carpet I was exhausted after 15m of dancing around. My legs hurt really bad and I ended up putting less effort on the exercise because of it. After doing a search online and reading reviews, I decided to commit and buy the Sansha Salsette 1 Dance Shoe. I followed the instructions on size (I usually wear a size 7 so I ordered Sansha size 8). They fit perfectly! They are a little wide (well wider than my regular tennis shoes) but the feel great! I have used them for Zumba, Tae Bo, Latin Dance and Wii (Just Dance) all in carpet. I can play, dance, exercise for at least 1h before I start feeling the pain I used to get after 15m with my regular tennis shoes.Totally recommend them if you are looking for shoes to use while exercising in carpet.

I am a gymnastics instructor and I like to wear form-fitting athletics or dance shoes (whichever I can find comfortable and for a decent price). This allows me the safety provided by shoes when moving equipment with the ability to show dance steps to my students, without having to constantly take off my shoes. These shoes fit into those requirements. My 2 concerns before buying them:I was concerned when I read a post from a ballet dancer in which she said it didn't provide enough flexibility to do 'on point'. But I have been working my shoes in over the past two days, and I can go 'on point' in these shoes. So this was good news.My other concern was that I am a size 6.5 US when I wear form fitting shoes - and these shoes don't come in half sizes. As stated by many reviewers, these shoes are the size they say they are. So, in this I was not relieved of my concern. The shoe fits me like any US size 7 would. Because of this, the shoe will only become more awkward and uncomfortable with time (looses half star for inconvenience). So, I really wish the manufacturers would make half sizes *please :)*.My 1 concern AFTER buying them:The only concern I have now that I own them, is the threading. By the end of the first day of wearing them (I wore them for half of my work day = 5 hours), I noticed the thread that attaches the leather sole on the arch of the shoes was coming out a little bit. I am hoping this is not going to be a serious problem. (looses half a star)What I like:I really like that I could wear them for 5 hours without any discomfort when I was unable to break them in (due to my other work shoes dying before I had the chance to break in this new pair).I usually go through work shoes really fast due to the extremes I put them under at work (I'm lucky if a pair lasts for 5 months - it's usually between 3-4 months). So, we will see what I think of these shoes after a few months. If I like them, I may get another pair.

I took the online suggestion for ordering and ordered true to size, my size is a 7M. The style is pretty snazzy and the shoe is not a bad fit, a little wide in front but fits well with a medium light sock and lace tightening. The shoe feels very sturdy and looks well made but the material and the sole are much stiffer than I expected, I love light and flexible shoes and these are stiff and feel 'klunky'. they might be good if you want/need more support. This is the first dance shoe I ordered that does not have a split sole. I am used to the split sole and find that a shoe with a split sole gives you so much more flexibility of movement compared to these. So I was sorry to have to return an otherwise high quality shoe. Luckily amazon.com had a no hassle return policy.BTW, I had planned to use these for latin, Zumba and home practice on wood floors.

These dance shoes are fun and look nice on. They feel relatively comfortable and supportive as far as sole goes. If you have narrow feet, you will likely have trouble with the fit, as I have. I lace them as tight as possible, which helps.
