This pickup arrived with an existing short in the coil rendering it unusable I wasted 2 hours installing it to find out it's broken. That tells me 1 thing that it was not quality checked before going out.

I recently bought a Rouge RLS-1 lap steel to try some new sounds for my recordings, but soon got very frustrated as the single coil pickup was extremely noisy. I decided to try this humbucker because of the price (other humbuckers cost what I paid for the lap steel) and gave it a try. I'm not dissapointed. Practically 99.5% of the hum and noise dissapeared and now I can play and record with excellent gain and very good sound. Very recommended... nothing to envy from other more expensive humbuckers.

This humbucker was easy to hook up and sounds great! It is slightly larger than the single coil it was replacing, so I had to file the pick guard hole a little bit to create room. I'm really shocked at how good it sounds considering it's low cost.

I installed on a Glarry short scale bass.Fit right in but the stock pickup wiring is very different.I searched for a matching diagram and couldn’t find one. I am using the tone pot for the volume and the volume pot for volume. It is super quiet. It’s okay, I don’t need the tone control the amp takes care of that.I don’t want to take it to a technician and pay more the the cost of the bass.($70) I think it’s made to be used on a two pickup guitar.I don’t want to spend $100 for a pickup, plus new pots and labor.I’m happy with it.

After installing, retuning, and spending some time playing with the new pickup. It's quite impressive, money aside. I put one in the bridge on a strat style. The tone is much brighter than the neck and middle as expected. Cleaned up the sound even on high. It has a nice bright yet rich full tone to it. Not looking to spend a ton on a rebuild guitar. This was perfect. I'd buy more. Looks great too black bridge mixed with white mid and neck pups. I'm not a tonal snob so for me it's well worth it.

Installed in a Glarry short scale bass (Bronco bass copy). Great pickup! Excellent clarity and balance across the strings, and really thumps the low end. East install, no modifications needed. A BIT of a tight squeeze in the pickguard but it did fit and the height smoothly adjusts.

From a scientific perspective, these things have blades and will have the best note clarity of any other pickups. That being said, they do not sound like Duncan rails or Dimarzio rails. They have their own tone. I like to pair mine with Orange Drop capacitors or any other good paper in oil capacitor I can find. I find this really helps these things find their stride. They are amazing for the price, and deliver in clean and dirty. So far, I have purchased at least five of these and will most likely order more. If you are looking to upgrade a strat, add these in a guitar build, or simply try something different, these are amazing for the money and worth a shot. Cheers!
