Pickups in this pic guard Rock and it's nice with the added toggle switch for splitting the coils I would recommend this to anybody who likes a lot of distortion and likes to play hard rock and metal

Really liked how all the screw holes lined up perfectly on my Squire. Only had to solder 2 wires and screw on the faceplate. Amazing sound quality for the ease and price. Much better than anticipated.

I traded for this older star caster strat and was looking for a more metal sounds. This loaded HSS pickguard was exactly what I was looking for. The Green Day and blink 182 as well as Metallica tones I can get are pretty spot on. I had to shorten some of the screws for the humbucker to fit in the cavity but was very easy to do. Back plate holes did not align with the new ones. I had to dremel the pickguard next to the neck pocket for a perfect fit but that was to be expected.

It's definitely an upgrade from what I had. The electronics were old and the pots were scratchy. I installed this in my Arrow Starcaster. Everything works fine it's just the pickups.. they are cheap sounding when it comes to being overdrive. They sound good not great on clean. But I can't complain. I'm eventually going to replace each pickup one by one starting with the bridge. Looking at the Dimarzio Tone Zone for that. Still overall I got a good deal because I got all the parts needed for 25$.

I wanted to change the looks of my Squier Stratocaster and I wanted to buy a black Pickguard, when I saw this I figured I'd buy it because it had pickups on it already in a few other features, I was surprised by the build quality the value for the money and most important the sound quality, as soon as I installed it the fit was perfect it looks good and it has functionality with the split coil and the mute button.

Well made not so microphonic as other budget friendly guitars. I did notice a slight change while using the coil splitting toggle. But works good.!

I returned the first one as it appeared it had been used and simply repackaged. Amazon quickly sent a return code and I requested a reorder of same item which arrived promptly. I had ordered it for my son who did try it out but said the sound quality was very thin and pickups were not secured, especially the humbugger.He said he would keep it because it was so cheap. Sorry.
