I was disappointed in this thimble. The pictures did not do a good job of showing you what it was. It was not modeled on a human finger. All it is, is a flap of leather with a band to tie it on the finger. It offers no real protection against a needle jab. There is no metal disc like other leather thimbles , meaning if you can't keep the leather in the correct position on your finger, you are going to experience some painful jabs. I love the Nimble Thimble but it is currently unavailable in a medium size, so I thought I might try this. I cannot think of any hobby where this type of thimble could work. I just wasted my money.

The leather is thick and stiff making it un-moldable to the finger. It's merely tied together to allow it to stay on the finger. I'm going to return it.

Kind of flimsy and you really need two — index finger and thumb— to help pull needle through tough fabric.

elastic came apart and was too short to be retied. Sashiko replaced it att no charge. Makes it much easier to push the yarn through with my right index finger. Really like these.

haven't used it yet but hope to soon. I'll attempt to do some sashiko stitching on that terrible denim jacket I ordered. I would recommend this to friends and family.
