They're designed with 3.15" between the female/plug into your storage drive ends and 7" between the source and the start of the female/drive ends. you use power splitter adapter cable like these with computers that have internal drive racks to get lots of connections in the drive rack without using multiple PSU cables. The way the power connector is attached, with the keyed L power connector having the short arm of the L pointing down, this cable is designed to be fed from above the drives, although it's flexible enough to be twisted around if needed and sometimes you can flip the drives upside-down.

Love them. Cheap but not cheaply made. Lots of ports and close together so they fit in my NAS well. Used both in one system and have two ports to spare.

Power splitter for DIY PC builders. works as advertised and very good daisy chained power. Would have given 5 stars if each section between connectors were slightly longer.

I put it in my five-drive Parity Storage Space. No complaints, all the connectors are attached to the wires correctly.

Although the spacing between each connector *could* be shorter I still managed to install it and get it out of the way of the enclosure. The wiring size seems to be of the same size generally found in my old type connectors.. They didn't skimp by using thinner wires which is good and unusual for a Chinese product.I hope it doesn't catch on fire ..only time will tell but I am feeling confident at this time.
