I bought the vertical stuffer, out of the box there are a few design issues the clamp will just fit a 2x4 so depending on the thickness of what base you are using you may run into some issues there. Also the unit swivels when clamped which could be avoided if they designed the base differently. 30 lbs of sausage in so far. The thing is not easy to clean and basically has to be completely disassembled using a screw driver and wrench. The seal for the casing tubes is nonexistent and the tubes come off easy as well as meat pressing through the connection point from the tubes to the stuffer. All in all the unit works and will get the job done but you get a lot better usability and quality out of a more expensive stuffer. I personally will be buying one that’s double the price when this one breaks or becomes too much to work/deal with.

Ever since my mom moved to the States she's been making her own sausage every year and she says it's a memory of her childhood. But the tools we use now are plastic, and it takes a lot of time to keep filling the meat. This makes the production process very complex. The new one I bought can hold a lot of meat at one time, and the handle is much easier than the previous one. Because it's stainless steel. It is very easy to clean. Dishwasher is totally enough to clean it up.

I made about 10lb of sausage, which meant i had to load the machine about 5 times. It was not difficult, but took some time to do this, each time I reloaded. At end of session, and taking the machine apart, i did note some of the raw meat had squeezed outside of the pressure side behind the plunger. I just made some patties from the perhaps 1/4-1/2 pound leftover. No problem. Cleaning was easy. No problem with suction holding the machine in place, but I did need to place it at the edge of the counter to be able to spin the handle. So exit point was not in a place that I would originally choose. However, I was not cumbersome.

At first I thought it was a decent stuffer. I didn't get to use it right away it was about 2 weeks after purchase was my first use. I attempeted to stuff 26mm casings and the bottom seal blew out 3 times withen the 1st 5 lbs of meat. I then had noticed that where the hanlde crank is mounted was bent. Definitely not the quality i was hoping for or used in the past. I will definitely get better next time.
