To provide some perspective, I’m old and seldom give a 5-star rating. Four stars is a good recommendation. Five stars is perfect; nothing is.What are the downsides, if any. Good product, works well given that it is generic size.

At first I was skeptical, all of the sail covers on here are cheap .... But I was pleasantly surprised that this sail cover works so well and looks good! Don't waste your money elsewhere get this one !!! (Cal 27 mk 3)

This was my 4th mainsail cover. The previous three lasted all of one year-basically deposable but the price was right. This particular one cost double, but it's infinitely better; thicker, better fitting & much more substantial.

This sail cover is by far the best one I have seen at this price. Compared to a series of cheesy plastic ones that wear out in a few months, this one is sturdy and amply supplied with quality tie-downs. It has generous amount of material to cover even a heavy, bulky sail that the other ones I've seen cannot do. Custom-tailored sail covers from your local canvas shop might fit a little better but are likely to cost more.

Wasn’t sure that I was going to be that impressed. But it is really good. Managed to get the exact length. It rises up the mast enough that I can keep the slugs loaded ready to hoist the mainsail. Good zip, thick bands of Velcro and buckles and lots of tie. Water was beading off it. There is some silver reflective second layer that wraps under where the mast section is. For my boat it is probably a bit over kill as far as volume. The straps are tightened all the way and there is still lots of space. Not a problem just that if you have a lot of sail this could easily accommodate.

Works great to protect our main sail on the boom. Nice quality canvas material with heavy zippers, nylon webbing straps and wide strips of velcro. It does have cheap nylon rope tied to the ends, but that is easy to replace. I like the green color. Easy to install and remove. It's only been on the boat 2 weeks, so I am yet to see how it will hold up to weather.

Contrary to what some reviewers have said, this cover is WELL MADE - heavy oxford material, with all edges folded and stitched; full cut, extra layer around the mast end. It has a full length velcro zipper at the mast end covered by a full length velcro flap (my favorite feature), making the zipper redundant; plus a double strip of velcro that snugs tight around mast. 1/4 " lines are attached fore and aft. The plastic closures along the bottom edge are ok with me. The navy color I ordered came as expected.Since it is not Sunbrella I question how long the fabric will stand up to the sun. Time will tell.

Poor quality materials, seems cheaply made. Straps are too long. Zipper seems like it won’t hold up. But looks okay new and fits boom. Seems to be okay for the price but not sunbrella quality materials.
