This is a nice quality charcoal paper. It holds up well to charcoal pencil and other chalk media. These are completed student works using black charcoal paper. I would definitely buy again.

Paper is extremely light weight and bent. The packaging was not damaged, I will not purchase again.

For coloured pencils only but would not say heavy weight, that is 140lbs, this is 110lbs. Will try out and if things change will update, do not think I will buy again. Good only for pencils, no pastel or chalk. I'm glad I bought it as it is recycled paper and have a feeling will have to use many layers for vibrant coloured pencil techniques, but wanted some good black paper as all I have is a small spiral bound that is about 40lb weight. I like to do my real drawing, not practice stuff on good paper, and also thick paper. But for $14, cannot complain for 10 sheets and also do work in mattelic pencils, which I hope will show up nicely on this. We will see... If they do not I will let you know.

The paper is certainly thick and durable, but it isn't as black as I anticipated, and also has NO TOOTH. Perfect for OIL PASTEL, white charcoal, and colored pencil. I'm currently using soft pastel with it. Not recommended for chalk pastel unless you intend on using a ton of workable fixative.
