It's so cool to have stacks of paper at my disposal ti use for my mixed media work. I can play on my gel plate to my heart's content and don't have to treat it as precious. This paper reminds me a lot of the paper used in my Canson sketchbooks. It's not meant for wet media, yet I can use pretty much any kind of media I want on this stuff, wet or dry, and it keeps up with me.

This paper is nice. It has a good thickness, not too thin, just right. It is an off white color, so it doesn't bother the eyes. It is a true bargain. Other papers you get lesser quality, while paying more, and getting less in quantity.

The paper seems fine, though it doesn't really hold up to paint (I KNOW it's labelled as drawing paper but I was hopeful it was somewhat multipurpose). It's packaged in thin plastic film, and then in a plastic Amazon bag, which is then thrown on my porch. The thin page had split at a seam and the stack was starting to fan out and some pages got damaged.I'm a teacher and the price was right for 500 pieces LOL

It works for what I purchased it for….which was for littles to draw on. I also wanted it for painting, but it feels a bit thin for that. I will update when we try paints on it.

I like this size for drawing and planning stages of other works.I saw some reviews of sulphite drawing papers and they claimed the paper was not 50 lb weight. This size sheet was probably cut from much larger sheets of paper which 500 sheets of weighed 50 lbs..... of course small sheets cut from larger sheets won't weigh 50 lbs even 500 of them. The sheets are not very thin they have good body and are smooth finished so not a toothy surface although not hot pressed either but smooth enough for markers and colored pencil. However, as I expected, using water and a brush caused the paper to buckle but not a lot when the water was lightly applied only when I used a loaded brush of water. So better for dry media or markers.I thought it a great bargain for the price.

How thick is 50-lb paper? Much thicker than printer paper. Thinner than cardstock. Almost too thin for watercolor, but works okay. Great for colored pencils, markers, crayon, pens, etc.Man, y'all know how much children love to draw and color and paint. I bought this healthy quantity of paper and now my kids aren't pilfering my stash of printer paper like they used to. Plus, the paper is more durable than printer paper. Whereas my children's drawings used to be wrinkled and tattered easily on display on the refrigerator door, this thicker paper stays crisp until it retires to the archives.
