I agree with the other reviewers. The stand is sturdy, easy to assemble, looks great (especially compared to the ugly metal stands out there), and is reasonably priced. I even caught it on sale for a few dollars off. I definitely recommend it. I went with the Zebra Grain version, and I love the look of it.I have two minor suggestions for the company holding this back from a 5-star stand:There are two open holes at the bottom of the vertical wooden member where wood and fastener screw heads can be seen. It would be nice if they enclosed matching stained plugs so that you could hide those two holes. I'll see if I can source a couple of them. The other thing is that the embossed logo, "Mu Beat," isn't perfectly centered on the base. It's not far off and not really noticeable. However, I think they should work on getting that text perfectly centered.Other than these two minor oversights, this is a great stand!

I usually don't give a five star rating to anything, but I am making that exception here because this stand works perfectly, is strong and it really looks good.Really what more could you ask of it.That's with all of the saxophone stands they rely on the balance between the horn and the surface the stand is on. If you said it on something that's wobbly you might have a unpleasant surprise. All of the stands have a u-shaped holder and the stands are designed to hold both the alto and tenor sax. The bowl portion of the horn fits into it and then it has a rest that touches near the bottom of the sax to stabilize it. I'll be honest with you I linked together a couple stretchy fuzzy hair ties to the U-shaped holder and stretch it around the back of the bowl part of the horn and fastener the other side of the U. I thought about using big rubber bands to do it but I was afraid that it might scratch the horn itself after so many uses. Plus I don't really know how much it increases the stability but at least it feels better. Again remember this isn't a flaw it's just my paranoia that I could accidentally knock the horn out of the stand. But the stand itself is a great and it works well, very well!

This is a nice saxophone display stand. The design is simple and sleek and holds our alto sax easily. It was very easy to put together. Although we didn't get any instructions in our package. I'm not sure if that's a regular occurrence for others or just something that was missed for us. But it was pretty easy to figure out. It's easy to remove and replace the saxophone without a tipping over the stand or the saxophone getting stuck.

I wanted a home stand for my sax so I could see it. The stand it solid and beautiful and a great value. It’s not for traveling and I have a different stand for that. This is about displaying the sax. It’s awesome.

There are two primary use cases for saxophone stands. (1) Pro players with multiple instruments will take them to a gig to keep their horns within reach while performing. (2) Amateur players (like me) use them so they’re not taking the horn in and out of the case for practice. This stand is for (2). At least, I don’t think it has the durability for life on the road. But for the home player it’s a great choice. It’s very convenient to have a horn within easy reach for practice. Plus, it looks good.Assembly is easy. There are instructions — just a picture guide — but they’re hardly necessary. Just note the longer “keeper prongs” or whatever they’re called go on top.As I unpacked the stand I heard a small sound that turned out to be one of the two washers falling to the floor and spinning away. I couldn’t find it. Unfortunately it wasn’t packed with an extra, even though they’re made of very thin, soft metal and have to be super cheap. But it’s holding up well without it. I’ll find a replacement sooner or later. For the home player I think this is a great choice. It is not finely crafted, but it’s functional and attractive. Every surface that’s in contact with my horn is well padded. And taking it up and setting it down in the stand is effortless. Recommended.

I bought this for my alto saxophone. Build quality is very good. Size is perfect. Value for the money is very good in my opinion. Looks great and functions like it’s supposed to. It does not fall over and does not slide easily on my hard would floor. Very easy to put together. I would definitely recommend this!

This Musbeat Saxophone Stand has become my go-to stand for both my alto and tenor horns. The solid mahogany wood was a snap to put together (with the included Allen wrench) and it looks more like a piece of furniture in the music room than the simple black metal stands it replaced. The padded hooks hold both sax sizes securely and I haven't noticed any marring of the brass finish on either horn. Although I always put my horns back in their cases after playing, I use the stand during breaks and to hold the instrument while doing my swabbing and cleaning routine.
