Your cart is empty.While the B variant of the Brabham BT46 is the more famous of the family, due to its fan contributing to its phenomenal downforce, the C model was a successful machine in its own right. Internationally respected Irish racecar driver, John Watson placed second in the fateful 1978 Italian Grand Prix, just behind teammate Niki Lauda in a similar car. While the delayed event itself was overshadowed by the tragic death of Ronnie Peterson, the 1-2 for Brabham was still an impressive result and 1978 was Watson's most successful racing year up to this point. The BT46, the B variant was modified before the Italian Grand Prix, at the time the B variant wasn't deamed illegal, but the model was retired at the beginning of the following season and the C variants still took the podium.
