This is such a beautiful corset. I got it for a renaissance fair themed wedding and it looked amazing with my dress, but I like it smooch that it has become part of my daily wardrobe too. It's so fun to style with different outfits and adds such a cool factor when layered over dresses or tops. I love the vintage vibes it adds to any look.There is a zipper on the left side that runs form the top hem to the bottom hem, which makes it really easy to take on and off, since you don't have to unlace the ribbons every time you put it on or take it off. It has what feels like 4 flexible plastic boning in the front and two on the back which help shape it a little bit, but it does not snatch your waist like a full corset would. It's more the suggestion of shaping. It dips a bit in the front in a sort of V shape which helps to give the illusion of an hourglass waist too.Fit: I'm 5'4" and weigh 176 lbs, with a 38D bust and 36" waist. My shoulders measure 16.9" across. I usually wear between a size medium to large in women's tops (in US sizing), but I followed the sizing chart (which is accurate) and got this in a size 18 and it is slightly loose on me. I should've gotten one size smaller, but when worn over a dress or top with the ribbon corset tightened all the way it fits pretty well.They gentle grayish green print is very pretty; I only wish that the flying bird with spread wings was on the front of mine like was shown in the ad pictures, but it's a fabric so the print is not going to be in the same place every time. On mine, the bird is on the back of the corset. I still love mine.It is cropped as expected. This has the look of a corset but it doe NOT tighten in the same way as a traditional corset. The ribbon corset on the center front and center back can both be tightened and loosened only to about an inch or two. The zipper on the left side is what determines most of the fit, so if you don't get the correct size, the ribbon corset doesn't really allow you to adjust the size much, so be sure to consult the sizing chart before ordering to get your correct size. The chart is accurate.Its comfortable to wear, especially with a shirt or something under it. The fabric feels almost like a soft thin canvas material, but it is actually 90% polyester and 10% viscose. The back corset has a flap behind it so it doesn't show anything through the ribbons.

Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review.My wife loves corsets and this one came in one of her absolute favorite colors, which prompted me to order it. The quality is quite good as is the construction but it does have plastic boning. Honestly given the construction my wife finds it frustrating when plastic bones are used instead of spiral steel given that the construction of this is perfect for actually using the correct boning that would make it a proper corset. Fitment wise it runs a bit large. For reference my wife is 5', 120lbs, measures 38-27-38, and a 32C. The look and feel is fantastic but you might want to order it a size small and this is not intended to be a proper corset.

I will attest to the quality of this item, and then share my personal dilemma.The corset is very well made, one of the best if not the best made that I have. The seams are flawless, the material undeniably top quality, and the overall design makes it probably the easiest corset I have for getting into.The side zipper was easy to miss and if I hadn't known to look I may not have found it. That's how well hidden the zipper is. It's really my favorite corset, however I'm not sure if I'll be able to wear it.I'm very small breasted. I've had difficulty all of my life with fitting bras, tops, even some dresses. Even as 'fluffy' as I am now, I still struggle. I currently have a larger cup size, however it doesn't match well for my chest size. Maybe if I went a size down, although I don't know how much that would help.I'm also tall with a long waist and have struggled my whole life with getting women's shirts long enough.This corset like almost every one I have did not have me in mind when it was designed. It's just a little too short and I can't get the bust area tight enough.I only lament these things in case there is someone out there with the same fitting issues. Like I said, the quality can't be beat, I love the design, I just wish it were one of the few corsets on the market designed for my particular build. It's made for the hour glass figure, not the pear shape that I am.

I ordered the Scarlet Darkness Corset Tops for Women Renaissance Boned Strapless Vintage Corset. I have many different items from this brand, and I like all of them. This is mainly for fashion and not really a true corset, but you can get some subtle cinching out of it. I ordered the small, but I'm typically an XS. I have found the small in this brand does work for my smaller frame, but I don't think it would be too small for somebody who typically wears a small. This seems to be well made, and it's a pretty soft garment without being firm. The colors look like the pictures, and there's a zipper on the side to get in and out of that seems to be decent quality. The ribbons aren't heavy duty, so they're mainly for show since they are ribbon material. For scale, I am 5'4", have broad shoulders, 34A cup, have a very long torso, 25-in waist and I weigh about 107. There are not any cups in this and it is not firm fabric. There is not even an outline for cups or padding and the entire item is flat. Since my chest is naturally very small, I would be able to fit some insert cups in here, but I don't think anybody with a decent amount in that area will be able to fit in there. That works for me, but large chested ladies may not have this work for them. I do like this in general, the only thing is with my long torso it is incredibly short and a crop top especially on the sides so I wish it was longer. Other than that, I'm happy with it, thank you.
