I am a big fan of historical/ fantasy/ cottage core styles and own a few steel-bone corsets. This is my first one that is more of an outerwear style with no boning.One thing I love about steel-boned corsets is the supportive, compression. This top still feels pretty supportive and structured because of the thick, woven material.The design is very pretty and combination of colors could match with a variety of outfits, I’ve paired it with an oxblood top and black skirt as pictured and also with an olive colored dress. Both looked great. It would probably also go well with brown even though it’s mostly black.The zipper makes it so easy to get on and off. I initially unlaced it and then realized I could just zip it.The fit is pretty true to size. I normally wear a small, and this fits me fine. I almost wish it came in XS though because I laced it as tight as it goes and still have a bit of room in the chest (though I have a very small cup size so this wouldn’t be a problem for most!)Two small cons:1) It hits just above my hips, and the scalloped edging juts out a bit awkwardly.2) I might switch out the ribbons with a sturdier version instead. Either real corset laces or a stronger ribbon. I feel like the ribbon cheapens it a bit. Not a real problem—just my preference.Overall I’m very happy with this corset top and will probably try to get it in the other colors.

Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review.I saw this in my Vine feed and immediately ordered it for my wife. The floral materials, perfect colors, and design were just too good not to order for my wife. For reference my wife is 5', 120lbs, measures 38-27-38 and a 32C. This came and it looked and felt fantastic. The quality is on par with what I would expect from something costing 2 or 3 times more. The fitment is probably about right for someone who is at least 5'4" tall. I would say that it runs just a touch larger than expected, so if you are expecting it to cinch down you might want to order it a size smaller. As a top it is fantastic and my wife has been having a lot of fun playing with all the different combinations from her extensive wardrobe of skirts and dresses. Very highly recommended.

I was longing for one of those beautiful corsets at the Renaissance faire, but just couldn't bring myself to pay hundreds of dollars for one. This corset is absolutely stunning and feels well-made. It is very much worth the price, and I think I'll be looking at this brand in the future!

My boyfriend bought this gorgeous corset for me for Valentine's Day and I absolutely love it! I do market events where I sell my whimsical artwork and love to dress up to match the aesthetic of my shop (Fairyring Enchantments). I've gotten a few corsets from Scarlet Darkness and have never been disappointed! I am 5'3", 150ish lbs with a 29" waist. I get a size 8 and they fit perfectly every time! The material quality doesn't feel cheap at all. The flexible boning makes me feel snatched, but I'm still able to breathe and wear them comfortably throughout my 5-8 hour market events. And after long hours of wear, you can just unzip the corset and not have to be bothered by unlacing it! I can't forget to mention that the stunning floral pattern is vibrant and elegant. Overall, I am so very pleased with this corset and I'm already looking for more to add to my collection!

Impressive. This is EXTREMELY well constructed. Exquisite tapestry design, boning, artistic piping, especially around the waistline, and eyelet construction is spot-on. I used the strings to cinch it up before I noticed a hidden side zipper, which meant I could get in and out without fiddling with the laces every time I'd wear it. 10 was the recommended size but 12 ended up more compatible and flattering fit due to drawstrings and fabric cinching of my outfit's undergarments. Although I would have preferred that the laces had aglets (those plastic thingeys at the end of shoelaces), it's not a deal buster since it’s not necessary to keep lacing up the ribbons and the ribbons look lovely as-is. The only reason I didn't keep this is that my existing undergarments resemble peasant wear, so this very decorative vest is out of time with the theme of my outfit. If you are assembling a renaissance outfit with a middle to upper class theme. This is the vest worth your consideration!

I bought for friends LOTR themed party super quality fabric and I love the pattern. I am seven and a half months pregnant so I was trying to find something that would still look pretty and allow me to adjust for the belly! I’m pretty happy with my results!
