I'm using this with a few different types of rope and it works well with all. It bites easily and releases easily when you pull up.

I weigh 240 and jumped up and down on the rope and it never slipped. !/2 inch rope.

I used this as a connection point for one sticking for climbing trees with a xop platform for saddle hunting it holds me up I weigh 285 pounds It locks in strong and holds my weight and is easy to unlock.

It’s plastic. Spend a little more for stainless steel.

I use this to hold down 13 lb anchor + chain when I anchor my boat in a river and it 's good. Not moving a bit when it's locked and easy to unlock.

I put these on our sailboat for the jib sheets. My wife likes them and the larger lines we got at the same time. I made risers for them out of Trex. I was not sure about the Trex and also made risers out of teak and black walnut. I liked the Trex ones best. The risers got them to a good height behind the winches and also allowed me to create drilling guides for when I drilled into the boat. All fittings like this should be sold with drill guides.

Replaced 35 year old cam cleats. These are much nicer. The sheets just slide into place.

I know this was designed for sailboats, but I installed it on the bow of my 17ft. aluminum fishing boat to make an easy and fast anchor rope lock. It works fantastic!
