We own many figures and play sets from Schleich, and the quality of their products is unmatched in detail and durability. We have several of the toys in the Eldrador line, and my 9 year old loves the original designs of their fantasy creatures. This bug has an opaque black base and a translucent purple carapace. The original design offers many play opportunities, and the toy is decently sized. The one component I’m a little less impressed with is the battle cage— it’s mainly for storage, but the play features on the cage are somewhat limited. I had to help my 9 year old build the cage, but it mostly sits unused. It would have been cooler to have a cave component or some other terrain feature instead. Other than that, this is a nice toy and great for fostering imaginative play.

We have a few fantasy figures from Schleich now, and my kids and I are big fans! Each one we have is durable, unique, and full of character. Each one has awesome attention to detail, and best of all they are not copied characters from video games or tv like most of my kids collection (unfortunately), but rather original fantasy characters perfect for open imagination play. This set is really neat, it was a little tricky for my 5 year old to assemble himself. He usually loves putting things together, but aligning everything to get the corners that hold the structure together took adult assistance. But once it was together it made for a really cool creature cave. Lot’s of detail with a rolling attack/trap on the roof, crystal “claw” trap to grab the victims, and spinning trap door that holds your creatures purple crystal. So much potential for great imaginative stories and battles! The creature itself is well constructed like all the toys from this company, and a nice size for play for a wide range of kids big and small. Now my son wants the whole set of creatures from this line! A big hit and another awesome addition from Schleich!

My sons love Schleich toys, including the Eldrador theme. They were excited to play with this set.The box contains a bug creature, pieces to build a box, and a a crystal toy.The bug is much larger than I expected. It is the same size as other Eldrador creatures.The box must be build by the user. An instruction box is included, but it look my son a couple tried to get it all sorted out. The box has several features such as flaps that open or twist. There is also a claw like feature that can trap a creature.The crystal is small and is probably intended for play with additional sets. Promotional images show that multiple sets can be combined to create an arena, and it appears that creatures battle it out in the arena.Good quality plastic toys.

These toys are an easy buy. They are sturdy. The color is bright. They’re exactly what they should look like. My eight-year-old grandson them. He plays hard throws them in the air and they don’t break . They keep their shape. These toys are quality.

My son who just turned four recently has been playing with Schleich toys for a few years now. I personally notice myself that the quality of the brand with the toys they make are second to none, so when I saw this particular one pop up in my feed, I knew this would be a nice addition to his Schleich collection.The playset itself is pretty cool. The colors on it are amazing and does not look cheap or fabricated at all. It looks of good quality. It comes with an insect monster that my son can keep in his cave or let him out with the openings to go and battle the other monsters in his collection from Schleich. It keeps him busy for good period of time and helps him learn insects at the same time.

Was definitely bigger than I was expecting.The price point seems typical for this type of playset and it seems to be of decent quality. There are other sets sold that you can interconnect and grow the toy which seems like a fun but expensive way for kids to play. My son had a fun time trying to piece together the structure but grew bored after awhile

Love the Schleich quality but the assembly needed to enjoy this particular toy is a head scratcher. My eight year old pretty much gave up on building the battle cage portion (even though the idea of a battle arena is what got him excited in the first place) and ran off to play with the cool bug figure. This left me to assemble the frustrating build portion. Yay?
