Tested all components. All is good except I have no output on the field wire. Will update when replacement arrives if it works. Replacement showed up and same thing. Rectifier works but the regulator doesn't. Don't buy this product. It doesn't work.

I couldn’t get it to work until I noticed a post on the Internet suggestion that black and white wires are often reversed on these rectifiers. With that in mind, I switched it up and the unit did seem to work. If you install this on bike and the unit is not charging, maybe check for reversed, black and white wires. If the unit is overcharging your battery, check for voltage drop elsewhere which may trick the into thinking it needs to raise voltage. In the end, iDecided to stick with my old honda regulator and rectifier which really were working fine.

Wiring matched 1974 Honda CB550 Four but I would consider this a retrofit as I had to be creative on mounting. My battery has been suffering and needs replacement, the following measurements are on this weak battery. Old regulator ran 12.0V@1000RPM and 13.0V@5000RPM. This one ran 12.1V@1000RPM and 14.2V@5000RPM. I should be able to expect longer lasting battery, and much better spark in the rev range.

Product didn't work on my CB750, recharge was sporadic and inadequate. Ended up reinstalling the 50 year old system (which still works perfectly). Was hoping to clean up the electrical a bit but this just didn't work out. A shame because the product and wiring appeared to be good quality.

Unfortunately, the item worked well for just a week, and after that it would not give power back to the battery. After the battery was dropping, I had to go with Rick's, which seems to be working better now. I don't think it's a bad product, but it didn't work out for me.

Using this on a 1976 CB750f. Plugged right in to existing wiring with no modifications. No more charging problems.
