I found the slide mechanism a little confusing at first, but it is easy to get used to. The box opener mode acts as “sort of” safety feature so little ones can’t open the scissors accidentally. The tip on the box cutter is sharp enough to cut and open boxes, but not razor sharp. Overall, I am very pleased with this design.

Are you tired of scissors that only stay sharp and aligned for about a month? Get these! These are quality and they are SHARP! I cut my finger wiping the blade off with a paper towel. Cut right thru it and me! But that’s user error lol. I’ve since added the small pair of Scotch scissors to my arsenal, and they are great, too. These aren’t kitchen shears that will define your chicken, but they will do about any other household chore that requires a sharp pair of scissors. Mine are still as aligned as the day I got them, and I use mine a lot.

I cook every day and for a some food prep a scissor is just easier then a knife. These work great, are a reasonable price and go thru the dishwasher. All in all, a great buy.

I bought these scissors on a whim when we were moving and I am so happy I did. Using these scissors has made unpacking boxes so easy. They are very sharp, easy to grip, and the tape does not stick to the scissors like other pairs. Quality you would expect from this brand.
