The wand is hardly to use and when new is effective in getting food deposits off dishes. Only downside, scrubber pad disappears quickly.

I have tried the off brand srubbers and got exactly what I paid for versus the 3M.They work great and last each week, I change out, not because they are worn out, for food safety/bacteria reasons. The generics would not even make it two days, and the sponge would detach from the scrub head. The 3M are the real deal...get them at a great price here.

Buying them bulk is much more cost effective than buying then individually at around $5 per pack. The sponges themselves are great - they do what they're supposed to - and you can clean your pots and pans using the wand that they're used with, without touching the wet dirty sponge.

I saw the wand for these sponges in a store and at first glance it looks relatively useless, gimmicky, and seems to be a scheme to get you to pay more for their proprietary sponges. The reality is this thing is fantastic. Like most people I hate washing dishes, but the wand + these sponges really makes things 10 times easier. First, it keeps your hands out of the grease and grimy food garbage, which would be enough of a reason on its own to use this. It also keeps your hands out of the hot water+soap which can burn and dry out your skin to an uncomfortable degree. Then it actually cleans very well, (obviously sponges do that) but also using the wand makes it easier to get leverage into your dish-washing. So you don't have to press as hard to get the right amount of pressure to clean well. The shape fits into just about anything. The only thing I've had trouble getting full contact with the sponge is some deep narrow cups, but those situations are pretty rare. It pretty much cleans everything. Finally, it saves time because you fill the wand with your dishsoap. The wand automatically dispenses just the right amount of soap into the sponge when you get it wet and begin washing. I have found that filling the wand around 15% full is best for the right amount of soap distribution. If you fill it all the way up, too much soap tends to come out while washing due to gravity and air pressure. This almost makes washing dishes fun. Its quick, easy, clean and effective. If you get a good deal on the sponges like I did, it doesn't end up costing any more than buying regular ones anyway. Highly recommended.
