Bought to supply power to my Big Jon electric planer board mast. Only thing you need to consider is, if you want 10 gauge wire running to this plug...it will not fit. Even 12 gauge would be tight, but will work.

Tried 2, yep 2 other connectors for my downrigger. Wasted both time and $$$ screwing around. Finally bought this connector (have one on my other downrigger that has lasted over 7 years in saltwater.) Bought this connector and never looked back. It also matches the downrigger electrical plug on the other side of the boat.

Scotty DHE Plug was exact replacement needed. Installment took about 15 minutes. Works great, just like the one I replaced 1 yr ago on a separate downrigger.

Have used these in the past for my downrigger connections, the positive terminal on the fixed end is very suseptable to electrolisis corrosion, only using them now because they are what is set up on the boat now and i do not know of a substantially better product but there must be something out there. The do perform well while they work- easy to plug in and stay connected well.
