Extremely hard to figure out what is what and once you do it's so hard to scratch off that it practically ruins the globe. Not worth the money. Very disappointing.

This is a great idea for the world travelers out there. Map has the scratch off material like a lottery ticket. Scratch off the countries that you have visited for a visual reminder of your adventures. Same size as a average globe you would find in a classroom. Very well made and sturdy construction. Looks great and a great way to record your travels. Great conversation piece. Highly recommend.

It looks great with the silver paint on even. It is great for adults or kids, learning about different countries. The scratch off idea is nice, but leaves a lot of little silver stuff all around when you scratch off. I might prefer something like a peel and stick, where you can peel off the stickers. But I like geography and globes and I am happy just looking at it as is.Beautiful silver base and it does squeak a little as you turn it. And the arm that holds the globe in place doesn't rotate or revolve, so the northern hemisphere is always at the top of the tilt making it difficult to see the southern hemisphere unless you actually hold it up and look underneath. It is fairly large, so make sure you have a place to put it. The globe itself is 13 inches in diameter. It is 15 inches high when you take into account the base. It comes fully assembled which is nice. The big thing for me is the sticker shock when it says "typical price" is $135.

I have to say that I was extremely impressed with this purchase! My 9 year old son is learning about the different countries and I thought this would be a wonderful way for him to understand and see everything with his own eyes. The scratch off feature is really fun for him and as we learn about each country he is so thrilled to be able to reveal it! It's really bright and beautiful and seems quite sturdy and made of high quality materials. I will probably be buying another one for my nephew after seeing how much my son loves it. I do have to say that this globe would also make a great gift for an adult, I am really enjoying it too. Great purchase all around!

When I saw how much that this globe was I thought it had to be pretty amazing to be that expensive, but it actually seems to be a little cheaply made. While there are features that make it feel like a really nice globe, there are other things that seemed to be passed over with quality checks. The base of the globe is really nice and the globe itself looks pretty good before you scratch anything off. I like how bright all of the colors are and I think that it could be something fun to have around for people who travel a lot. It's a little different than a scratch map and doesn't take up any wall space. My biggest concern with this globe is that it squeaks a ton when you try to rotate it, and it doesn't even rotate smoothly. You could try to grease the top and bottom to fix this, but I'm not sure that the squeaking would ever really go away. I just don't think that it's worth the price, even if it didn't squeak.

This globe is great sturdy quality. My toddler loves to twirl it around and look at all the different countries! He loves when I explain to him all the places we visited and he has a great time scratching off the countries. When we are not using it as a learning activity, it sits beautifully on display. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a globe with an activity perk!
