This was my second purchase of these items. I have an old house with heavy wood doors. Not to mention boys and every kid in the neighborhood comes to my house…so my doors are constantly swinging, pulling out the screws. These are a lifesaver. Just hammer into the hole, snap it off and screw the door back in place.

It worked as intended - I needed to reattach a screw for a clothing hook in a hollow core door. The first one failed - was my fault since I did not properly insert it in the hole sufficiently far. When I removed the plastic (it backed out when I tried the screw), I used a second one and this worked! The screw is in place, and the clothing hook is properly supported. I do not know if it will support the weight claimed on the package, since it is a hollow-core door, but for now, I am quite pleased!

Had an issue with door fitted to a built in dishwasher. Maybe I was doing something wrong but could not get this product to work. Depth of door is not large and could not get enough of the anchor into the door, tried a couple of times unsuccesfully

For stubborn, highly stripped screw holes with no backing on the other side (like screw holes where the other side of the hole is hollow) this may actually be your only choice. For most things, Woodmate's Mr. Grip, or something else like wood glue and toothpicks will probably work. And for thin holes with good backing, Mr. Grip might even be better, but for larger / longer holes with no backing, nothing beats Screw it again.I used Screw it Again for a very stubborn stripped screw hole on my screen door's hinge. Mr. Grip didn't work, no matter how many metal tabs I threw in. They just slowly came out with use. Wood glue and toothpicks also didn't work, for the same reason. After I used Screw it Again (making sure to drive in the plastic cones as tightly as was reasonable) the door hinge FINALLY stayed on, with the original screws used on top of the screw it again cones. Now it may have helped that I added a third screw to the hinge instead of using only the original 2, but the 2 stripped screws that I used screw it again on have stayed fixed. It's been probably 2 months by now, and all the other temporary solutions didn't even last more than a week. Don't get me wrong, I'd say that the cheaper Mr. Grip strips will probably work well enough for most use cases, but for really stubborn holes, Screw it Again is worth its weight in gold.

I had a door hinge pull out of the wood and destroy the wood, with no hope of getting screw back in. I thought this *might* work, but be difficult to get situated or trim to size. I was wrong. It was super easy to use, trim, and has been holding our door on just fine!

My end use was the same as many other reviewers - I have a door hinge on a pantry door where over time, the screws have come loose on the door side of things and made the existing holes bigger/more errant and as a result the door doesn't quite close properly.I bought a 4-pack of these little guys just to give them a try, based on how easy it looked to do on the youtube instruction videos. Sure enough, after removing the existing screws and popping in one of these anchors in each of the holes, the screws went back in just fine and now the hinge and door is back to normal. The one thing to be mindful of is that while each of the anchors is capable of filling in multiple holes, the holes have to be different sizes. I know that sounds painfully obvious, but for example - if you have 3 holes of equal diameter that need to be anchored, you probably wouldn't be able to break up one anchor to fill all three holes; instead, you'd likely have to use the same segment from 3 different anchors to fill in the 3 holes. All in all, a great purchase for my end use and maybe a total of 8- 10 minutes of labor to get the job done.

We used this for its intended purpose and the screws are staying in place. It wasn't quite as easy to use as we thought it would be which is the reason for only 4 Stars. Also, you can see small rings of orange underneath each screw. We would definitely recommend the anchor since the doorknob is now staying in place and the screws are no longer falling out. All in all it was a good purchase and we are glad we don't need to run out and we can wait to replace the lock/doorknob.
