I live in the Keys and wanted to try something different than my speargun so I bought this. Even from right up close this tri tip set up wouldn't hold even small fish. I then ordered the single tip and it works much better. I like that it collapses and the the tips are interchangeable.

On my very first dive with this spear, it snapped in half just below the joint. It felt cheap out of the box, but I expected that somewhat because of the price. I did not expect, however, for the spear to snap in half on the very first pull. TERRIBLE ITEM...Listen to the reviews and DO NOT PURCHASE.I'm an experienced free diver and spearfisherman and purchased this pole spear as an inexpensive option to teach my friends how to spearfish. I didn't even get the chance, because it broke before I even had a chance to release it.

Bought this polespear because I lost a great spear I've had for a decade and I needed a replacement. This pole strait up snapped on the first pullback when I spotted a nice 16" sheepshead. I twisted the band and everything and it still snapped. It's really a total waiste of money especially for 50$ which is a serious chunk of change. It's a waiste of money and totally ruined my spearfishing trip.
