This might get the job done but it was huge. I returned it and bought small scissors to take on a dive trip where knives are not allowed

I didn't expect the tool to be that big. It is not that practical to carry this around. I don't think I will be using this, but on the flip side, it is a pretty robust tool if you really were assigned a dive mission to go cut some nets and wires.

I should of read the reviews! The picture clearly shows the finger grips, so It obviously is "big".I wanted it for dive travel as you cannot fly with a normal style of dive knife in your hand luggage and I avoid checking luggage when possible. But you could not take this as hand luggage through airport security as the blade is clearly visible, and as someone already said most fingers can reach the blade. It would not be permitted by TSA as carry on if they are doing there job, as you could remove the box cutter blade easily from the plastic handle by simply undoing the 3 screws. So Good for cutting string and thin rope, but perhaps not so good as a travel dive tool.

If you want a giant line cutter, you may be happy with this. The product dimensions are not advertised clearly. It's too big and unsafe for scuba in my opinion. The product looks like it could cut lines, air hoses, and fingers! I'd rather use a folding dive knife, at least I know it's safe when closed. It's ~ 8" x 2" x 0.5", the grip ridges are ~1.5", the guard allows 0.5" clearance for entry. I'm an adult male and can fit any of my large fingers into the guard, not to mention air hoses. Also the product is very large in terms of usage underwater which makes it difficult to stow or remain neutrally buoyant as it's likely hollow. Even with my dive short pockets as a sheath, I'd be concerned it would cut something on the way out.I was looking for something to take on a cruise ship where dive knives are unwelcome weapons. Unfortunately, thing could be used as brass knuckles, a club, or a knife... it serves me no purpose so I'm returning it.

This is one of the worst purchases I’ve ever made. Item came in cracked in several places. Had to return it. Completely disappointed!
