I installed these EZ Boat wheels onto my Zodiac in no time at all. I had to drill holes into the transom, however they came with instruction, bolts, nuts and washers. I like the fact that I can launch my Zodiac with the wheels down, and once afloat rotate them in an upward position. Once I reach shore I can rotate them down and easily pull the boat out of the water, right up to the truck. Makes for pulling a heavy load, light work. They can be removed from the boat, with the pull of a retaining ring. I have recommended these to my fishing buddies.

A product manufactured in Canada. Solid parts, everything was in the box. Clear instructions with photos. Yes they are priced high, no question. But the parts are heavy aluminum and machined perfectly. Tires and wheels are a standard 6” air inflatable rated to 600lbs each. Haven’t even mounted this kit yet yet but I find it to be worth every dime I paid for it. I have the utmost confidence this wheel kit won’t let me down. Which is a big deal here. This is a boat. Not bicycle I could break and and walk home from.

I recently purchased the launching wheels for my tin boat, and I’ve been quite impressed with their performance. Here are some key points :1) Mounting Considerations: Initially, I encountered a small issue when trying to mount the wheels flush on the transom. They didn’t sit properly due to a lip at the bottom of the transom. However, I found a simple solution. I added plywood, elevating the wheels about an inch and a half off the transom. Then, I securely attached the wood to the wheel mounts using epoxy and the provided bolts.2) Sturdiness: These wheels are robust. I’ve mounted them on a boat weighing approximately 100lb, and they handle the weight with ease. Whether I’m maneuvering the boat around the yard or launching it into the water, the wheels remain sturdy and reliable.3) Convenient Flip-Off Design: One of my favorite features is the flip-up mechanism. Its nice to be able to flip-up the wheels when out on the water so you don't have to fully remove them and have them bouncing around in the boat.4) Removable Wheels: Another design aspect I appreciate is that the wheels are completely removable. When I store the boat at home, I take the wheels off and leave them in the shed.5) Durability and Air Retention: The wheels have held up well over the past four months. They show no signs of deflation, and the overall build quality is impressive. I appreciate that they’ve maintained their air pressure consistently. In summary, the Seamax Easy Load Boat Launching Wheels are a solid investment. They combine strength, convenience, and durability. For the price, they offer excellent value. I highly recommend them to fellow boat owners.

Received this purchase on time and was well packaged. The overall quality seems to be excellent and installation was pretty straight forward. Because of the construction of our transom the bars would not sit flush against the back of the aluminum transom plate by about an inch. As my tech tip to others, I easily overcame this problem with 4 rubber hockey pucks ($2.00 each from our local store) Drilled a 5/8" hole in the middle of each one and mounted them between the bars and the transom plate to make up the gap. Seems to be very secure and they actually look like they should be there. I'm sure there are many other even more pro solutions as well, but this worked for me and should last forever. So there is some level of mechanical ability and maybe innovation required for installation, but its not difficult and should be doable for most handy people. Just make sure to measure and think it through several times as per the supplied instructions, before you drill holes in your transom. I used marine 4200 to seal the holes.I have not "time tested" this item in use yet but its future is headed for a salt water environment and extensive daily use on beaches etc. so we shall see. I feel confident it will hold up as well as can be expected based on my direct experience. I will update this review in the future if needed.

Arrived quickly and neatly packaged. I am impressed with the quality of the components. Easy to install if you can use a drill. Note installation requires a flat transom. My transom has a lip requiring addition of some plastic mounting blocks I cut from a kitchen cutting boardroom in order to clear the lip. You need to add air to the tires before use ( even though they feel firm) because they are deflated for shipment. The wheels work well. I was able to haul my dinghy up the beach singlehanded. The legs are adjustable for length. Adjust them as short as necessary to clear the bottom of the boat/motor otherwise you will still be in knee deep water when the wheels touch bottom.

My application was quite specific and it was annoying that the description did not give the measurement of the components except for the wheel diameter of 12 inches. Everything else was guessed or estimared from the screen using a rule. When you are buying online, this information is vital and will avoid unnecessary returns due to specification ussues.Great product and works well.

The moment I opened the box I realized how awesome this product is. Very high quality polished aluminum, solid wheels. Bought this after I installed and used a competitor’s set with small solid plastic wheels which was a total disaster both on the sand and on paving. I am sure this ones will last and perform wonderfully. I LOVE the fact that once you have the boat in the water, you can remove the wheels together with the stays with one hand (they click in) and I am planning to use the then exposed rails to hold fishing rod and another one for the Fishfinder sonar.

Upon opening the package I was amazed at the outstanding quality. The aluminum is not cheap at all and extremely sturdy. The neat surprise is that the wheels and legs are easily removable so you can remove them in case you don't want to travel underway in a "wheels up" position. I have a 12 foot long homebuilt marine plywood skiff that is glassed over. My skiff was impossible to drag up the beach with just myself and I am in shape (down to the water was no problem). These wheels make what was once a drudgery into an easy affair. I highly recommend these to anyone who keeps a small boat or tender near the beach on a rack or who has a pickup and doesn't want to have to find a boat launch.

I decided to write this, my first product review ever, because I like the product enough to want to take the time. It's a mixed review but I bumped it up to 4 stars because the Seamax customer service has been remarkable! They seem like a dedicated small company of real people. That's a good reason to buy their product right there.Great product design, exceptional customer service and excellent quality except for those tires and inner tubes!!! I would say buy the product but beware of tire rupture if you receive a crappy 25 PSI rated tire. At least be assured that Seamax will quickly ship you a replacement if needed, as they did for me.Pros:- The spring-loaded button design of the wheel release is fantastic! You can easily pop the wheels into landing position one-handed and not even get your hand wet while afloat. It makes a very satisfying clicking sound that almost makes you want to do it again just to hear the sound. Much easier to use those anchoring pins used in other wheel designs.- The material of the wheel mounts is very high quality aluminum, satin-finished, smooth and precise.- The whole assembly floats. (Yes, I tested it.)- Height is adjustable which is nice for different beach slopes and whatnot.- Very easy to remove completely from the transom so no worry about interference with the outboard motor.- I was extremely impressed with my customer service experience. They sent a replacement wheel in the blink of an eye, at no charge. They were also very responsive to and appreciative of my comments.Cons:When I opened the shipping box, one of the tires was already flat. Not just the tube but the tire itself was ruptured! I don't really fault Seamax for this because they I'm sure they order the tires and tubes from some overseas manufacturer. I only wish Seamax would spend a few extra bucks to order higher quality tires and inner tubes. Or perhaps use a rigid plastic tire like some other transom wheel makers. This would make the product perfect!(On a positive note, the replacement tire I received was of much higher quality. It was fully formed and the inflation rating on the sidewall was 50 PSI whereas the one that ruptured said 25 PSI. Hopefully they will use the 50 PSI rated tires on all future wheels.)The tires and inner tubes are made of a material so inferior that they made the product I received non-functional. Worse than a cheapo hardware store tire, it looked like the rubber had not even filled the tire mold. The treads were not fully formed and the carcass was so thin that the inner tube busted right through. The inner tube was not the familiar supple inner tube (butyl?) rubber but some sort of super-crappy greasy stuff that felt like old leather. I ended up buying my own inner tube from the hardware store. Even the cheapest hardware store wheelbarrow inner tube was much better quality. Seamax suggests to inflate only to 15 PSI to avoid tire rupture, but 15 PSI is not enough tire pressure. Besides, the tire should have the ability to inflate at least to the rating on the sidewall (25 PSI) without rupturing. Again, not the fault of Seamax because they did not manufacture the tire. They should just find better tires.
