Works well goes into place easily. Could use some none absorbing foam which I reclaimed from another Amazon delivery to keep it from rattling on the clamps. Also I soaked the lock heavily in rust preventer to stop the lock from corrosion.

This motor lock is junk. The metal is flimsy and the loose fit allows it to rattle annoyingly when the outboard is running. The clincher though is that after less than 4 months use in a salt water environment, the pad lock is frozen and the device cannot be removed. I will have to cut it off which, given the thin sheet metal, should not be too hard.

All brass, rust free lock and steel locking bar. It will keep honest people honest and deter quick thieves, but if someone really wants your motor, and they got the time to cut those clamping bolts, they’re gonna get it.

Good value for money, the box section could be of a thicker gauge to improve the product, otherwise happy enough.

Being my first lock for my outboard..gives me a since of security. Made well, simple to install, and is made to do its job. The lock seems heavy duty enough to slow down a thief. I would recommend this product.
