Got this timer to help my little have a visual of time when we take breaks from screen time etc .. he can't tell time yet so seeing the color get smaller helps & then it beeps also when time is up!

When the alarm goes on my child instinctively covers his ears and becomes anxious. While I am able to turn off the alarm feature, there is a concern that my child may miss the signal when their time is up if the alarm is silenced.Overall, this 60-Minute Visual Timer is a beneficial tool for helping learn to manage time effectively. This is a useful timer for the kids to help them with their homework, especially when they are revising and doing tests. Also great to use to show how long they have been exercising. The fact that it is bright and cheerful, encourages the kids to use it.Mrs also uses it for when cooking and when the kids are helping with the cooking. It's nice and quiet and needs 2x AAA batteries to power which you will need to get yourself. Currently priced at £9.99

I use visual timers with the kids all the time. Whether it is to show them how much total time we have to complete an activity, how much time we have left, or even just to signal with sound that the activity time is over, it's a perfect device for kids to use.I like the visual art on this specific timer; however, I wish the color of the part that spins was a contrasting color and not the same shade as the rest of the timer. Since they are both almost the same color, it's a bit hard to see how much time is left unless you are right by it. This is still an incredibly useful tool and I can see this being used in so many other ways for adults as well (think kitchen timer).

Kids or anyone else can see how much longer they have, and they can watch the picture move, telling them how much longer they have.The only thing that I didn't much care for? It makes no noise at all. It makes you kind of wonder if it's even working! haha At least, it did me. So I really would have preferred to have that it have some kind of noises just to let you know for sure it was working - really the only way that you know that it is, is that the picture moves!The timer itself is a hard plastic. It's a good quality and it stands up well. Also I dropped it and it came through that like a champ. -oops-Overall it works, and it's a good timer. I love how it works for kids, in that they can see what is going on. Kids need that if you ask me! But I would make the slight change that I would put a noise to it. Still, it's a good price and I do recommend it.

Uses batteries (somehow missed that) and when the timer hits zero it buzzes. There is a feature that you set for either a 3 second buzz or a 60 second buzz. No in between. There in lies the annoyance. Stuck with it now bc it's past the return timeframe.

Initially purchased for my toddler to (eventually) learn about time passage, but I've also adopted it for my own Pomodoro productivity. This is our second visual timer and while we like this one a lot simply because it's louder and has settings for the duration and volume of the alarm (which our other one doesn't), it is a lot harder to see how much time is left since it's a blue on blue background (even with the ocean-themed additions). I wish it was light blue, turquoise, white, really anything that isn't basically the same shade of blue. It's still a 5 star from us, though because it's so helpful and the timer really gets your attention, even if you're a room away! It's also a great price compared to some of the other alternatives!
