This turns out to be a shorter version of a BBQ tool I own.They are to big and improperly shaped for use with seedlings.I use a stainless steel, cake icing spreader instead, it work on all size and shapes, is a far superior solution.The plastic one in the middle of the picture works but it's a bit thick, the stainless steel one on the right is perfect, and allows scooping out with one quick motion without damaging the root or the container.These pinchers are much too awkward, irregularly shaped and do more damage than good.Not bad for the BBQ, which is what they were designed for, but that's about it.
