The product description is inconsistent and describes this contactor as both 240vac and 24vac. I needed 24vac and instead got 240vac. Never used it so i can't say how it might work.

Bought this so that I didn’t have to use the main breaker as a switch for our pool pump. This allowed me to always have on the pool heater and just allow it to control the pump. This made it so that the heater would maintain the pool temps without me even needing to check. In short this was a huge peace of mind part of the pool setup. I also added a normal weatherproof light switch so that I could just turn on the pump when I wanted to filter the pool. I think that I got a faulty one because I only needed to use two of the terminal for my setup but one of them burned up after a few days of use. I was lucky in the fact that I could just move the connections to the last remaining terminal and keep things working. It worked for months after making this change. I know that just some of the times we get faulty things but this time it happened to me so I will still give it 3 and not 1 star like most people do when something like this happens.

Simple and fairly light weight. Several mounting hole options. 24vac coil works with my HVAC controls. I am using this to control my backup heating element on my heatpump system (5500w @ 240V). When my thermostat calls for emergency heat, it pulls this contactor closed connecting power to the immersion heating element.
