This is basically just 3 sheets of white, opaque vinyl, like you can buy at the craft store. It appears to reduce the light output quite a bit. It does diffuse the light as expected. It adheres well, but definitely changes the color temperature of your light to a warmer color.

As others have mentioned, this knocks down the light output (normal for diffusion) but also adds some unwanted color cast. If you have high CRI (color rendering index) lights, then you are essentially doing yourself an injustice by applying this. However, it you only want to diffuse a light source that is too bright then this will work just fine.I purchased these for some handheld LED lights (similar to what is shown in the video) where I wanted to add a permanent layer of diffusion to cover up the individual LED lights. This will do so, but it will bias the light source. I could have purchased a universal soft box but thought I'd give this a try. The benefit with this is being able to paste it straight onto the light and cut it perfectly down to size. So, overall, I would say it depends on your use case for buying these. It is worth getting if you'd like a more permanent softening solution where CRI doesn't matter. If the CRI matters, then you will need to take that into account and either adjust the settings on your light or in post.

the stick-on diffuser is clutch because i have some led lights that have diffusion already, but they aren't the best. this is where this comes in. i outline the light size cut and peel and stick and it comes with a tool that helps smooths it out. and if it's not enough you can keep adding diffusion. this is awesome.

We have a very bright porch light and this helps with the diffusion. The diffuser is simple to use and sticks well. Please note, the diffused light has a slightly warmer tone.

If you don't mind losing 2½ stops of light and lowering the color temperature of your light source by over 1100° Kelvin (1120° to be precise), then these self-adhesive sheets might suit your purpose. They also change the green/magenta balance requiring a 5M filter to balance out the slight green cast.As a professional photographer, I find those statistics to be unsuitable for most applications I can think of.
