For starters, unless you have a heavy door (like a fire door) only one is needed to add to interior doors, you don’t have to buy 3 of them for one door. I was able to utilize the two of these on two different doors in our house that benefited from having an auto-close feature added. The first was our laundry room door which is also where we keep the food bowls for our boxers. When you combine these hinges with the magnetic door-stops (just search for them here on Amazon), it’s a fantastic combination. The finish is really nice and the construction of the hinges feels and looks top-notch. The package includes the hinges, color/finish matched screws for the hinges, a hex key, steel pins and instructions. I would rate the initial quality of these hinges as some of the best I’ve ever handled.Instillation: If you make sure to pick the profile that matches the pattern on your current doors, these are an easy drop-in replacement. If you accidentally get the 90 degree corners, you can use a chisel to cut the corners out to suit the profile of the hinges.Adjustment: Each hinge comes with a steel pin that needs to be inserted into one of the detents in the hinge. Close the door and access the hinge with the door closed. You use the provided hex key and torque the barrel of the hinge clockwise (looking down at the hinge) to apply the appropriate force to close the door the way you want it to. There are multiple detents for the pin to fit so you can adjust the torque that closes the door.

Very solid and nicely made. Adjustable tension screw and easy to work with and install. Most hollow core doors will work just fine with only one hinge. You get two in the pack and they’re well worth the price. If it’s an outside heavier door buy the recommended three hinge though unfortunately they don’t sell them as three packs. Otherwise, these UL approved ANSI 1 hinges should solve all of your problems when it comes to pets, children and elderly folks who may need a little assistance with door closure. I recommend these to anyone who would benefit from using them. I didn’t know this brand previously, but I’m very happy with the quality and thickness. Should last forever.

These hinges work well at closing the back door, but make sure you’re getting the right shape, mine were square, but I needed radius, so I had to chisel the recess to fit. Once installed and adjusted, they close the door smoothly with both hinges in place. They feel well-made, at least as strong as the originals on my door. I swapped out the included screws for 3-inch ones to anchor into the stud instead of just the frame, definitely a good move for extra strength. Overall, they do the job well.

I'm a 27 year builder and many codes now require self closing hinges on garage to house doors. These are UL approved and very well built for long-term use. I'm installing these on my side garage entrance door due to the wind grabbing the door, and slamming it shut. At least these will automatically close it and no one will get slammed from the wind anymore. They're very easy to wind and pin, and will fit all 4" hinged doors. On most light weight doors, one or two of these is more than sufficient to allow automatic closing.

I used this with two hopes, one that this would automatically close our pantry door, and secondly to avoid letting the door get slammed (since I'd read in other places that door closers can avoid slamming doors. Unfortunately, this doesn't stop slamming. You can definitely put enough power behind a slam to make it slam closed, but this isn't really a documented feature, anyway. The bolts are strong, and if anything I wish it had 3, so they'd match (since I didn't see a brass colored version of the brackets). There are holes in the inner spring-loaded section where the pin goes to set the tension (by default, they swing like a normal hinge). Using the hex wrench I can choose how much pressure there is to swing the door closed.Pros:- High quality- Screws were slightly longer than what I previously had, and attached securely- Easy to set-up (the directions are simple, but also accurate)Cons:- Wish there were a 3-pack available to make them look consistent- When fully inserted, the pins would be impossible to get out without a strong magnetHaving the hinge as a single unit had the added, surprising benefit of finally getting our door to be hung straight. The previous work with pins on the hinges had the door slightly off level. But this isn't specific to these hinges, any auto-close hinge that's level would do this.

I don't have any experience with this type of hinge, but these were just what I was looking for. I just bought the same size, and the same rounded corners I had in place. It was easy to remove one hinge with the door in place, and the hole pattern was exactly the same, and I just re used the screws I already had. (The ones that came with the package were slightly longer and would have worked great as well.) A quick couple turns with the wrench and that was it. I just used one per door, it closes slow and gentle but just enough. (The instructions generally suggest two per door unless the door is super heavy.) It might be nice to have two so you don't have to crank them too tight, but it seems good for me so far. I'm happy to have these in place for two exterior doors that the kids like to forget. I was hoping for a bit of help in slamming prevention as well.... it helps maybe in the slightest there.
