I bought these for my AFTERSCHOOL 🏫 students. I need a craft that they can do over a number of days, I have a wide range of ages and abilities. I like these large plastic needles so I don’t have to worry about anyone getting hurt. I do find I can’t have more than three or four kids sewing at one time. Once the kids get the hang of it though it’s pretty intuitive. I updated my review since I worked on these with the students yesterday. The holes in the felt is bigger than the thread and so it is hard to make the knot big enough to secure the stitches. I have to tie the thread to the fabric, which looks clunky. But still a good lesson for kids in threading a needle, and holding fabric with one hand while making the needle and thread go through the fabric without the needle coming unthreaded It takes a fair amount of coordination and patience for younger kids.

Grand Children age 5 and 7 girls made them for there dolls. They loved them. Started them off in sewing skills. Wonderful gifts for my F Ed and children

Our grand daughter loves it. She is carrying her own purse around and her little sister made one too. Nice for little girls. Safe needles and nice fabric. Good value for a birthday gift for little girls.

Bright colorful felt with easy construction for a 5 year old. The purse it produces was so satisfying for the child she couldn’t wait to sew the next one.

My granddaughters loved these purse and bag kits! At 7 and 5, they were able to figure out the stitching with help and really enjoyed embellishing their creations when they were done. There are enough projects to make purses and bags for themselves and for friends. I highly recommend these kits!
