This is made of plastic and it is a piece of junk. You have to put it together and it is hard to do. Once together it looks nice.

Cheap plastic, doesn't align correctly, you can't undo the clips easily without snapping them off and breaking them. The drawers once installed don't Glide out like they should. Very cheap poor made design. They need to do a redesign in hopes to sell a better quality product.. Don't buy!!!

When this filing cabinet first arrived I was a bit nervous, as it came in many pieces. However, I quickly learned how simple it was to put together! All the pieces snapped together easily and in 5 minutes I had it assembled and ready for use! It is lightweight and easy to move, unlike metal filing cabinets. I also love that there is a combination lock, rather than having to worry about losing keys. Highly recommend!!!

So when I ordered this I was expecting a single file cabinet drawer that pulled out but that is not what this is. So I decided to use it for what it is and review it for THAT as opposed to trying to review it for what I thought I was getting.So this is just two small drawers on the top and then one large compartment underneath. I ordered a wire mesh file box and some hanging files and it fits perfectly in the lower compartment. So for my simple needs where I'm only getting into the cabinet maybe once a day, it works great. I just take out the wire mesh box with the files hanging in it, put in what I need, and then put it back in. But because it is not a slide out drawer with the files I wouldn't recommend this if you are constantly needing to get into and out of the file portion.It's very light weight and that I like a lot. My other, true file cabinets weigh a freakin' ton and are hard to move.The lock on this is more just a lock to keep nosey friends out. It's never going to hold up to someone determined to get inside. Also note that both the lower drawer and the cabinet "lock" closed when you push the top drawer in. So you do have to slightly pull out the top drawer to get the others to pull open. I just leave it unlocked as I have no reason to lock it.So essentially this just gives me a very light weight, easy to move place to store a file organizer box and some other stuff that fits in the 2 drawers. Really it's great for my little at-home office.

I Bought this to keep files for a volunteer project that I oversee. Nice and sturdy. Drawers slide easily and the locking portion makes it nice for financial information. If I need another file cabinet, I’ll purchase this one again.When assembling, follow the directions step by step! I didn’t and had to fight a piece to complete the assembly.

The cabinet is made of plastic, it is sturdy but not as strong as the metal cabinet in my workplace. I actually like that because it is light and easy to move around.The coded lock works well. I don't think it is really designed to protect the items from robbery....the cabinet itself is plastic anyway. For me, I kept the family travel documents, checkbook, and some bank statements in it, so kids won't mess up them.. they did so a lot when I put stuff on my shelf. The cabinet works for my purpose well.
